Hopefully we can continue maintain this thread as a non-hostile grounds for discussion. I have some follow up questions for members/leadership of -MS- ...
A great many players from all factions and varieties of units maintain a lot of contempt for MS. With so many holding you in low regard, how do you deal with it? Does it bother you at all?
Why hasn't MS broken up into its constituent units after faction-wide grouping was implemented? MS was born out of a necessity for a large unified organisation and now that necessity no longer exists. Many of your members miss having their old unit tags and playing as part of a tight-knit, well-defined, recognizable group. Being as the Alliance can continue to exist outside of in-game units/tags, has breaking up ever become a consideration? Why do you continue to fight as one at the expense of individuality?
Which factions' loyalists have been the best to work with, perhaps barring obvly CGB? Does MS consider itself to have any defined enemies/consistent opponents?
I don't think anyone really answered this, and it's a great question. Honestly I don't believe there has ever been talks about breaking up the MS tag back into it's original components now that there are faction groups. I think this is due to a myriad of reasons.
1. With such a large group, it makes the leg work of forming groups and keeping organized easier which is a big boon in such a large unit.
2. I believe each unit in the alliance really has kept their own identity, they all practice together for non cw games, drop together in cw when possible and generally keep well connected with their unit identity.
3. We do have a lot of none unit MS members, these are known as MS reserves and are players who joined MS but not any specific alliance unit. They play CW right along the members of specific teams, this gives them a chance to get a feel for many units and a chance to join them if they decide to go into more than just CW. Splitting would leave them with MS tags and set them aside from a lot of the camaraderie.
In regards to the contempt held for MS from various factions and units, we do take note of it but it affects us less than one would expect. I will say that many of the MS leaders, especially Rex make a huge effort to find and involve themselves on various faction Teamspeaks, and each new contract we try and reach out to the big faction players and loyalist units. Some of course don't want to work with us, which is understandable. Others though have been great about talking and working with us, CGBI is of course the shining example, as well as the wolf khanite who have been great about involving us in talks between the two factions. The thing to remember though is that MS is a large unit, often bringing more fighting forces to a faction than combined loyalist groups, so simply limiting what we can do makes for early and boring nights. That being said we do try and uphold concrete alliances (FWL and Liao being the most recent example that comes to mind.), and are always willing to work with groups that extend the olive branch.
As for what loyalists have been the best to work with, outside of Ghost Bear which has been amazing. I would honestly say Clan Wolf, while we've never fought for them and there has been some issues with certain unit leaders, a lot of their leadership has been great about keeping communication open between us. Personally I'd like to thank them for that, simply keeping it friendly and competitive.
