How many games it takes to get the points is gonna depend a lot on luck as much as skill, and the matchmaker. Higher Elo people get paired with other high Elo people. I often find it harder to get good games in the PUGs now...at least in the lights. I miss the days of running around and through groups of slow moving nubs and shooting the crap out of them. Everyone has mastered mechs now, tweaked builds, and lots of experience.
There's still fun to be had in a light though. I'll see you guys on the battlefield. ;)

Type there, let me fix that for you... Operation Last 24 (as in the last 24 hours you were in that relationship). Gratz, here's a virtual shiny.

24 kills I can just see the gameplay now.

two full days, 12 kills a day, If you're able to do 20 battles a day (which is twice what I've ever been able to tolerate) then its only 1.6 kills per battle. So, you really better try and get 2 per battle, cause you know you might get skunked next round.

yeah, too much, lets say you can actually do FORTY battles a day, thats only about 9-10 hours a day sitting in front of the monitor, two days in a row, you only need to get a kill every 3-4 battles.

Meaning the frantic, panic stricken noobs, and talented kill stealing experienced users will take the spray and pray to new heights?

warthunder weekend for me!

Solid challenge. I'll be in the shop most of the time this weekend and pugging every now and then anyhow. Should make this up in a night.

So is this recycling old rewards thing going to become a habit? Are you gonna give away the jager vs the world "unique" hula girl next? Can we expect to see the 3050 holo in the store again next year? How about the promotional items, are you gonna recycle those too?
Seriously at least reskin the operation 24 medallion and keep the original one limited, let players build a collection of actually limited items so they'll have something to show for being here all this time.

Second on this one. Unique challenges are no unique if you get a duplicate item. Granted free shinies are FREE but at least change the color or something. Add a little 2 or something.

Free stuff is nice, but a few extra hours to reskin the old medallion into a new one would have been nicer.

Could you have made the medallion in another color to distinguish with the one previously offered a long time ago? Had hope for some recognition for veteran players... Was proud of it and suddenly that medallion has no more value to me. <_<

Just a thought...

Agreed. My Operation 24 medallion is one of the cockpit items I almost always use since it was my first challenge, and it shows how long, more or less, I've been playing. Even a slightly different medallion (color, etc) would be nice.

Otherwise, neat and simple challenge. I'm looking forward to it.

+1

Sincerely,
Cpt Leonidas

Meh, already got one of these. You'd think they would make a change to the Medallion but they didnt change the 3050 Hologram from the one awarded 2 years ago either. And unless you were a founder they have no recognition for the Closed Beta Testers either. And 'Got too many mechs? Buy more mech bays!' is funny to see as the cut scene Tip. Can you even get a Mech without having a MechBay for it? Not that I have to worry I have 8 to spare too bad I cant trade a few in for the MC or get the MC for the Medallion since I have 1 already, which like the 3050 hologram, actually motivates me to not even bother with portion 2 of the challenge. Maybe we should all hit PCGamer Magazine up to Partner with MWO again so the PC Gamer 'camo' can make a return and be used on All the Current Mechs instead of just the Mechs from back then (think its all of 5 mechs). Hmmmm, PGI how about something like that?
