Funny note: In TT, the Quickdraw IS a laser/SRM blaster. The LRMs are a token weapon it can fire to annoy opponents while it closes, but that's about it. That it gets quirks that specifically boost it's arguably worst weapon, even taking into account MWO's hardpoint system....well, that's kinda facepalm-worthy.

Generic missile quirks for the -4H, sure. LRM ones for a 'Mech that can barely fire 10 at a time from a single launcher, derpworthy.

Quote

I bet not a single person in this entire game runs a LRM 10 on a 4H.

Sure they do. It comes with one, after all. Heck, I even see people who replaced the SRMs with LRM 5's.

It's not good, but they do it.

Get over it, quirks are supposed to fit the MECH, not metabased builds and playstyles.

Ok fair play, the point still remains

but what do we know, I mean I just learned that the QKD-4H is the new meta

Heck, a Quickdraw is an overweight 55-tonner, right down to the speed profile (but heavier jets since it breaks the 55-ton line).

Medium laser/SRM builds are right up the alley of a Quickdraw, ala how many Shadow Hawk-2K's or some Griffins are rigged up.

A. Quickdraw equips LRM in canon.

B. PGI takes heed of canon when giving out quirks (when possible).

Put A and B together. But yeah, 20% total range buff to SRM4s was so good. It shoulda stayed.

Canon does not translate well into an fps.

Then again it's not surprising that you'd stick up for the change. Seeing as lrms are your favourite weapon and you stick them on any mech you can. Never seen you in a drop where you haven't been sitting back spamming skill at people.

Really? We don't get rear firing weapons? Well, I'll be, I never knew that! No wonder my Battlemaster can't fire it's rear facing lasers behind it! That explains SO much, thanks guys!

Metabuild, yeah, because you are building based on the quirks, nothing else. There's better Mechs in the Heavy range who'll do the job better, but they don't get those quirks I guess. Yeah, pretty much falls under metabuild, otherwise the loss of the quirks wouldn't be a big deal to you, after all, you can still put just as many SRMs on it as before, they just loose a little range.

Quirks were originally supposed to fit the BTech fluff/lore for the Mechs, remember? They weren't supposed to take the single weapon a Mech has facing the rear and give it a bunch of great quirks to make that 1 weapon the basis for making new variants. The 4H uses it's lasers and LRMs as it's main weapons, they face forward. The SRM faces the rear, it's a holdout weapon, and it's not even used much because the Quickdraw can flip it's arms to fire to the rear as well, and those 2 medium lasers are a much better weapon choice for getting someone off your rear.

Personally, I'd prefer rear firing weapons on the select Mechs that have them, as well as the flipping arms, it'd be nice to not have to turn fully around in my Battlemaster to deal with a Jenner who gets uppity, but PGI didn't give us those options. Probably be too complicated for too many people, seems to be a big reason for many dumbed down things in MWO.

False. They were added for the explicit purpose to make bad mechs not quite so bad.

Stop saying that cause I don't think you know what you're saying. edit: (I couldn't remember the saying from princess bride, lol)

FTR I been playing this build since before quirks were even an idea. So really, it doesn't matter that much because ultimately anything is a bonus so I'll take it. Not that, IMO, the QKD needs any bonuses ;)

That said, we're talking about this game here. Not lore, not TT, not whatever BT novel you read the other week
I don't care about that stuff. Your history lesson on the QKD there was nice and everything but frankly none of that has any relation to this game. I only care about how the only game I play, plays.

And, adding LRM10 quirks to the QKD was a bad choice. End of story.

Stop being salty about dying to my Lurms, you boob. It just means you are bad. ;)

Also, I melt faces with DF mechs as well. It is just Lurming people in pugs is fun.

I've never died to your lrms. And those stats are pretty damn bad for a DWF.

Truth to be told, I really do not remember you. I did look around my screenshots folder to see if we had fought and it seems we did. And the Direwhale of mine you scoffed at did contribute to your loss. So, yeah.

Quickdraw with LRM quirks... Shameful, just shameful.

I also like the "whats a quickdraw" comment.

Lol dude doesn't change the fact that those DWF stats are laughable. But you know what you beat me in a random pug match so you must be better than me right?

How is that score even screenshot worthy rofl. This is just like before on the forums when you told me there was no way i'd have any mech with higher stats than your dragon slayer.

Source mate, so far you are all talk without a shred of proof. I at least look for them. And if I did beat you in a random match, well that just means I beat you anyway. ;)

Don't even know if that thread even exists anymore. However you did say that i wouldn't have a mech with stats as good as your DS. I then posted stats of more than one mech with better stats. My name was probably still McHarg at the time, can't remember if i was in Lords at the time or if it was before.

And for the record i don't have a single DWF with a kdr or w/l below 3.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to say i'm great at MWO because i'm not. If there were skill brackets i'd be at the bottom end of whatever the average skill bracket was. I take issue with you thinking you're good when you aren't. I've played with the good players and you don't even come close.
