Russ and Team,
I have an idea for the maps that might involve a fair amount of work, but might really "mix things up" a bit in the public drop area. Here it is:
Take the existing maps and expand them to about three times the size of one of the medium maps each, in both directions. Make them so that each one is essential a 3x3 grid of usable maps, all along the same theme as the original, but each with 9 usable drop zones. Each could have it's own spawn point settings, collection points for conquest mode, etc. But when you drop, you get notice that you're dropping into Crimson Straight, River City, Caustic Valley, etc, but NOT which section of the now larger map, could be any one of the nine.
The overall effect of this is to relieve the tedium of the individual maps, and might even make some of the despised maps more fun (Terra Therma comes to mind, everyone seems to complain about that one.)
I realize this is a LOT of work for the art department, to develop these larger maps. The idea from the old tabletop game is that you have a planetary area, with a lot of similar terrain, but you're not really sure where your enemy is going to bring the fight to you along that terrain. Given 9 times the terra therma, but with each section having a bit of differences to it, would really toss out a lot of the tried and true tactics, and allow for a more dynamic game experience for the players.
I know, big investment of resources. Might just be worth it in the long run though. Not everyone wants to play CW all the time (mostly because of the length of time each match takes, in comparison to a pug drop.)

Wait, what? Bigger maps with randomized drop locations?
What are you trying to do? Make scouting necessary or useful?

I'd like something like that.
Maybe just the alpine peaks size would be enough, but with a little more variety, not just one big hill plus surroundings.
And then more drop points and the need to actually pick a route (or split up), scout, etc.
