I'm having fun in the Panthers... they're not great 'Mechs, but they're different and they're challenging (can't imagine what PGI was thinking with those shoulder pauldrons though. Way to make a huge light even bigger guys). Also, seeing a field full of Panthers instead of the gawdawful SPL Firestarter spam we've been seeing since quirks dropped is a wonderful breath of fresh air. I'd go so far as to say I'm having almost as much fun in the Panthers as I do in my Commandos.

Haven't taken my Enforcers for a spin yet because I sank all of my cbills into outfitting the Panthers with endo/ferro/DHS (and also the xl250s that came with the Enforcers). They're being kitted out piecemeal; I'll get to them in due time. I didn't feel a pressing need to jump in them right away because mediums are already my best class, and I know I can make them perform.

SO FAR and maybe only 1-2 drops in each mech variant and the Panther is awesome and the Enforcer is toast but I'm a total novice at mediums,assaults and lights are my niche.

I wish I waited to see what people came up with because I just dropped 12 mill trying to make those Enforces work for me and no dice.

Havn't tried the Panther yet, Light mechs aren't my thing.

I've just now got a couple of drops in each Enforcer variant, and they remind me of Vindicators with 5 more tons to spare, and ballistic instead of PPC.

I actually enjoy my Vindicators, mind you, and run my -1AA as a dual PPC jump sniper, and the -1R as a Wubdicator (1LPL4MPL), sold my -1X, and I still havn't found out what to do with the SIB.

But I digress.

So far my Enforcers are -5D as a AC/10(orLBX10) with 3 MPL w/ XL280, -4R with 2LPL/3ML w/ XL250, and -5P with 2UAC/5 1ML, XL280.

I'm finding the -4R fills in the same niche as my VND-1R (if slower), the -5D is somewhere along the lines of what my SHD-GD is doing (it is running AC/10 w/ 4xML), and the dual UAC/5s are not impressing me on the -5P.

All in all, the Enforcer is playing as a pretty solid mech. Doesn't tank as well as a Cent, or have the ridiculous blasting power of a Hunchback, but I enjoy it all the same. Now I just have to basic and elite them, and I think they will be pretty decent striker mechs.

The Enforcer 5D "plus" is godlike.
Even on losses I rake in 175k+ and 500+ damage.

Panther is pretty awesome both visually and in practical use. The Enforcer, while in practicality the Ballistic brother of the Vindicator, looks visually awful.

pretty much not happy with the panther.. too slow, too big, low arms.

Its like a bigger and worse myst lynx.

2 erpcc isn't to bad but everything else seems my firestarter and jenners do better. Maybe after quirk round 3.

How about this instead? Drop the SRM4s to SRM2s, drop to one ton of ammo (they're backup weapons anyway if you're running dual ERPPCs), and add some armor. With that low of a top speed, if you're getting cuddly with enemies you won't be needing three full tons of SRM ammo because you won't be alive long enough to use it.

Iv used both mechs in cw and normal modes and they are both solid mechs.
I got 5 kills with the panther in one of my games ,5 kills in a row first time ever for me, the most i can manage is 2 maybe if i am lucky. but yeh both good mechs ,panther xl engine 1 erppc 1 mpl and srm 4 ,enforcer 2 ac5's 3 ml both good builds for me. :}

Just drop the SRMs and go XL 245-250. Sit back at range and poke with 2 ER PPCs while heat allows.

The Enforcer's second left torso energy hardpoint goes on the shoulder - PPC time boys. In order to get the PPC up there you have to put in a small laser or medium laser in the bottom hardpoint first. You can now run AC10+PPC or something similar, and actually be able to ridge hump with the PPC.

ERPPC+Gauss might be a viable build on the Reinforcement Enforcer. The other one begs for AC10+lasers, and the last one can't fit 2 energy in the LT as far as I know so that one is screwed from the start.

yea they'll just give it PPC quirks (non ER) because....stupid reasons. regular PPCs are the worst weapon in the game IMO and all the mechs they quirk with them, it is useless.

PPC wouldn't be useless if they'd do away with the nonsensical minimum range. It was stupid in TT; it's stupid now.
