As how the Omni tech works in MWO, the omnipods had a set of hardpoints, structure and jumpjets fixed on them. If you don't want the fixed jump jets on the S omnipods, use the D instead.

MWO works differently from TT. Why the Engine, ES and FF are free to upgrade/downgrade in IS mechs and not in Omnimechs? Why IS has inflated hardpoints and the Clans don't? Because these are (for the good of the bad) balance decisions.

The fixed JJ are only fixed because of the whiners!
ES and FF are fixed as the the TT rules say.
The D has diferent hardpoints.
The TBR I think is the only mech that is not implemented as designed.
all the other Clan mechs are as they should be.
Btw the Clan ERPPC is also weakend in damage, for what ever reason that is?

Two years have passed. Many mechs added to the game. But what about of redesign the old ones?
Yes, the old old question but it is still actual until this work is done.

Just to remind, this mechs still had an old design:
- 25 Commando
- 40 Cicada
- 60 Dragon
- 65 Jagermech (torso energy points)
- 70 Cataphract
- 80 Awesome
- 85 Stalker

What about mechlab? How long we must use this 'fast fixed' version of a totally broken mechlab?
Right, this is another old question, but also still actual.

What about UI imrovements?
There is still no way to get mech info in a store.
And what about this: http://mwomercs.com/...uses-as-quirks/ ?

Hi Russ. Thanks for taking the time to do these town halls. Much appreciated by the community at large.

Question: Although surely low priority, would it be possible to have the option to change the color of the HUD display? Reason being I'm very tired of losing my reticule in the background on some maps, such as Sulfurous Rift. Being able to change the color to a bright purple, for example, would help me a lot. I'm sure there are others who would welcome this option as well.

Any chance we'll see melee implemented? And the Hatchetman? Mostly the Hatchetman? The IS can't win Tukayyid until we have the Hatchetman...

What are you saying with this question? Are you meaning if they will introduce non-omni clan mechs? IIC version or second line mechs?

Question: What is the status of the cockpit NARC warning message/indicator that was talked about previously?

Omnimechs can have their structure changed, but would lose that way the omni "compatibility". Not that I'm defending (or against) the feature of changing these in omnimechs - I just find strange the structure "slots" are fixed in Clan mechs and are dynamical in IS mechs.

The D has the 2 missile hardpoints you want. Or maybe you want the energy hardpoint too? You greedy...

It is the only one people are complaining about (I wonder why...). There is the Kit Fox S and the Dire Wolf S too.

That's exactly what is is saying.

I say, when there are mechs introduced they should be like the mechs in the Technical readout and also the weapons.
Its not about missles or not its about how I want to use the pod space.
When you take out the JJ you have four slots of space and two tons of weight for whatever you can fit in, DHS, Lasers, Ammo etc.
I don't want to change ES or FF to be changed thats the Rule of Omnis are, but the Rule also says when the JJs are not fixed you can add or remove them if you want.
The Kitfox S and the Dire S have JJ in there pods and they are not fixed !!
I think you don't know the original Chassis of the Clans?
There are some that have fixed equiptment like the Adder has the Flamer that cannot be removed and there are others that don't.
The Summoner has fixed JJs the Timberwolf does not.

Yeah I don't get it why is the CERPPC 10dmg + spread dmg ? Why? maybe you can enlighten me?
And then why is the IS ERPPC not 7dmg + spread?

For those of us with 150+ mechbays, will there ever be a way to remove all modules and cockpit items from all mechs in one action? If not, can you add an indicator in the mechbay select screen that shows if a mech has a non-consumable module equipped?

We desperately need to have a deep dive discussion regarding maps in regards to CW. What are the limitations and what can we realistically expect. What were the driving design concepts, how they were derived and what have they learned from having the community then use them.

Are we to expect all maps to use the similar lane concepts used on the last map? Are technical issues the driving force behind using lanes or is it more a design principle.

But please get them talking about map design as it has been completely ignored on the last 2 town hall meetings and is one of the most important part to the overall health of CW.

Everyone in these town halls is crying for their favorite mech. The Black Knight/Grasshopper poll was well received (and very close to boot)

Can we get more official "What mech next?" polls to stem off the 'When is XXXX coming to the game?'

Any chance of re-evaluating the tiers of Highlanders, Victors, and the CTF-3D? Poptarting isn't really a thing anymore so I don't really see what makes them tier 1/2 anymore. They are all outclassed by both tier 1 Clan mechs and quirked IS mechs.

Issue to improve this game.
1º In lab and possible mech or strip with a new option cockpit objects?
2º Because the mech can not do damage when they go against each other Meches as RVN 3L 150km against an atlas does not take you 20 damage or when a mech this all red and at the same speed mech destroying the clash?

3º It is possible for the ballistic curve to do again?
Used google translator :P

I know that this has been asked a couple of times, but I think it bears repeating.

Are there any plans to help offset the horrible imbalance of CW matches between pugs and premades? I barely even bother dropping into CW anymore, because most matches end up being against a full premade team. It is a real shame that such a fun game mode is more or less only viable to those who choose to join a large organisation. I suspect giving some love to pugs might also help with queue numbers, especially in the lower population times.

Question:

Will the Executioner be accompanied by the Shadow Cat, and will you announce Clan Nova Cat as a playable faction with it? ;)

1. When are we going to see improvements to the HSR algorithm? It's a long-time problem that is still not working completely as intended?

2. Going back to "reworking old maps" - what's so hard on simply starting to add colors (!) to the old maps? Best example is River City with brown sky, brown water, brown buildings, everything's brown. How about some blue skies, green or blue water? In other words: Re-coloring the maps more realistically and making them look not so plain? Doesn't need tons of geometry changes or added objects - simply a pass on coloration which is way less time-intensive and would prolly be at least some improvement to the older maps for a start.

3. CW: Certain units are still easily able to pull off the light rush (which is fine as long as it works) ending the match in 3 minutes - despite the additional generators which, although not seen as often as before, is still overriding the changes and simply frustrating. Unless you have a top-team on your side (or drop with one right away) - it is beating the purpose of the gamemode IMO.

4. CW: 3 maps for all those planets - it has become extremely repetitive, with no real diversity or feeling one is fighting for a particular planet. "Icy fields" in the planet description - yeah right - I'm dropping on Sulfurous Springs - very cold indeed. We need tons of new maps, different gamemodes that cannot be beat by simply killing the enemy team or a few generators only - there's so much more that could be done and there are already some very good ideas in the suggestion forum.

5. CW: Any plans to let IS houses band together for defending a planet against a clan invasion?

6. Personally, I'd like to see more polishing on the game mechanics itself than getting new mechs every few months. There's still lots of stuff (HSR *cough* Stuck in map *cough* or even the invisible walls on Tourmaline and other maps) that needs fixing and somehow it doesn't feel as if it's being taken care of.

How many total mech packs will be offered at one time and will the older mech packs that have been up for sale for awhile ever be marked down for a sale?
