So I Unlocked the LPL range, and LPL cooldown moduals.
I payed to have them put on my stalker.
If I wanted to use those moduals on a different mech, is it free to just remove them, and install them on another mech?

Modules can be freely moved around from mech to mech, like most pieces of equipment (engines, heat sinks, ammo, guns, etc.)
I swap modules around all the time, it isn't a big deal (though it is a pain in the ass at times). Some players swap engines around as well. A lot of folks don't play enough to afford multiples of some of the more expensive (and useful) engines.

So, I unlocked LPL modules (2 sets of 2, actually) because they stack with teh quirks I got on my mechs. BAM! Different quirks. Another build proved to be better. No refunds -.-'

You can go into your Inventory (from the in-client Home screen) and sell them if you want, but they don't sell for anywhere near the purchase price. Keep in mind that part of the nature of online games is that the stats on things are not static and will be changed every now and again for balance reasons or to shake up a meta that has gotten stale.

This ^^^^ Spot on... Learn to swap when you are cbill poor... helps with Modules, Weapons and even Engines for IS mechs.

The problem is that it wasn't stale. At most, one mech could've used a slight nerf. PGI just hates wubbing weapons

There are plenty of mechs on which the various pulse lasers are still viable. You don't even need weapon specific quirks for them. I run a LPL on my Panther 9R because even with the velocity quirk the non-ER PPC doesn't work so well, but the generic energy and laser quirks still perform nicely with the LPL.

I'm not even c-bill poor and I move modules around. I have over 100 mechs, each fully armed with their own engines. But moduling up a mech can be ridiculously expensive. Seismic and Radar Dep on a lot of my heavies and assaults would be a huge c-bill dump. I just started saving up to kit out the Grasshopper and Zeus, for cryin' out loud. (It's amazing how c-bill poor you can be when you are so asset rich, y'know?)
