You know all those Blackjack 1-DC's that have been ravaging the competitive arena recently? Yes, they have finally been nerfed to oblivion. They got nerfed waaay more than the Thunderbolts, because those pesky Blackjacks were making the CW scene too One-Dimensional.

I am glad they won't be around anymore. They were grossly OP, and every Clanner would shudder at the sight of those vicious BlackJacks. Good riddance.

In other news, I lost my favorite build-out in the game, and have no explaination as to why. The BJ1-DC was hit with a 25% reduction in damage output per second and DOUBLE heat per damage output from its autocannons in quirkpass 2 compared to quirkpass 1.

That has to be about the biggest Nerf any Mech has ever gotten in the game. The only conclusion is that PGI thought BJ1-DCs were the strongest Mechs in the game. Why? Since when did ANYONE consider the BJ1-DC to be more OP than a ERPPC thunderbolt, or a Timberwolf, or a DireWolf? Seriously?!

Well, at least the Arrow got useful quirks now. And if you run the AC20 / ML setup on the 1, it also got some boost. The 1DC however...

It is really sad to see PGI putting so many mechs back into permanent garage mode, sigh...

I haven't seen an explanation for any of the changes. Why are you special enough to deserve one? ;)

(And, yeah, I'm PISSED about BJ-1X quirks, though the BJ-3 got much-needed help, and the 1DC now joins the 1 in utter pointlessness)

Thank you, I will.

The (effective) elimination of the infernal Blackjack 1-DC from the game with finally allow us to see other Mechs on the IS side of CW. I wonder what will take its place...? Perhaps the Vndicator will rear its ugly head next and dominate.

Whatever happens next, let us rejoice in the removal of the BlackJack 1-DC from the list of effective Mechs. May they forever collect dust.

I will take personal responsibility for the quirk changes to the BJ.

This is my fault and my fault alone. I should have known better and I screwed up.

I bought the Arrow when it was on sale, specifically since it had AC/20 quirks. I had made several posts calling out that it didn't come with an AC/20 stock and so it's quirks should not have matched the BJ1 Champ exactly.

I never got any responses to my posts so I felt it was going to just be that way because.

I bought an Arrow when it was on sale last. Within 90 days it seems to have been changed.

I should have known. I'm sorry.

I'm really disappointed by the removal of LPL quirks from the BJ-1X. I loved using 4xML, 2xLPL. I'll try that 6xML, 2xLPL build out L3mming2. Sounds like it'll run awfully hot.

The new BJ-1X is more robust, and the medium lasers quirks actually synergize better with large pulse lasers than before. I'll miss the range and heat gen though.

I don't understand why the BJ-1 got the same quirk types and the BJ-1DC.

I have to admit that I was one of the Blackjackholes running around wrecking house, but this is a serous double-Debuff.
The drop from an AC5 to an AC2 is a pretty significant, then to drop from 40% to 25% makes it an exponential downshift.

But I guess we have some shiny new toys to distract us, that an the still king of the hill DRG-1N and his little brofist-bro the WRV-6R.

Thank you, but the nerfing of a BlackJack is funnier. It makes as muchbsence as downgrading the engine on a PT Cruiser because Chrysler thinks they're too fast.

I purchased 4 WubJacks for CW. The sudden increase in popularity probably broke HSR.

The OP Blackjack had to die. Same as the RVN-2X master race.

Meanwhile in Clanner space, when the holy trinity were asked to weigh in, they were quoted, "Nothing to see here. Move along."
