Lots of good quirks were thrown to the wind in favor of others... I think the Devs are getting numbers on their removal of ghost heat from certain weapons.
Several of my Mechs will now have to be redesigned to adjust to the new quirks given... not happy, but I'll try and make it work.

I wish they'd drop all of those weapon specific quirks in favor of generic ones ... I don't like being told what I HAVE to use on my 'mechs.

The problem is that BJ-1DC + 2xAC5 used to have 15 DPS.
Now it's got 8.5 DPS.
The mech's damage output has been reduced by 40%.
Its not the problem of the quirk but the AC 2.
Look the WVR-6K got also a "quirk" change - that would half its firepower if you move to LL.
But as well as with the DC you can stay with LPL - and ignore the "second level" of the quirk - admit you loose range but the lack of damage (reason burn duration) is horrible when using LL.
Same for the DC; stay with the AC 5.

Signed.
The AC2 Blackjack is a potent mech... but we already had one of those! Having AC5 quirks on the 1DC adds versatility to the chassis. I would like to see those quirks reinstated.
To end on a positive note: The Arrow is now much improved. Replacing the AC-20 quirk with one for MG's plays to the Arrow's strengths and adds value to the whole Blackjack line. Thanks for that.

SIGNED, As much as I am indifferent to the blackjack line, there is no sense to make the two variants into essentially the same mech. besides, the lack of JJ on the DC is enough of a handicap that having the ac/5 quirk was bearable.

biggest thing is that 2 blackjacks have ac/2 quirks now.
you dont need that. thats 2 nearly identical mechs as someone else already stated.
also, the 1DC was not such an uber ac/5 mech like the wolverine or the dragon are with the ac5 quirks.
there was not a single clear reason to remove the ac5 from the 1dc.
ye you can do LPL loadouts but that worked for the 1X too and still works.

I wonder if some PGI official will ever comment such issues which obviously are troubling the (IS) community.
Or at least take note of it! Then 90% of upcoming (useless) discussions would be obsolete.
Whining obviously affects balancing and the best way to do this is to spam @russ_bullock on Twitter. That also seems the only way to get a quick, reliable, and valuable comment/feedback from PGI...
