I can hear the voip perfectly,I just can´t be heard. Switched the ptt-button to f1 and f2, both dont work.
Regular TS is working fine.

I'm the opposite, can use it but all I hear is muffled mumbles even after upping the volume. Faction comms still golden...

Also can hear it, but no matter what setting I change and what button I make PTT, I cannot be heard.

Same here, I had comms working 2 out of 20+ games where people heard me then it stopped, relogged, rebooted, tried changing settings around to no avail.

I can hear people fine just not transmitting. out of options and frustrated. TeamSpeak works fine just not VOIP in game so I know my mic works just fine.

I did notice that I have a new section of the volume mixer on my real tech high definition audio mixer "mechwarrior online (64-bit)

Question: do you get an indication when you are talking? I only see it when others are talking. I am still trying to figure out my mic settings in windows.

I think you are suppose to get one for yourself yes. I have not got one in all my tinkering and no seems to be able to hear me.

I have the same issue with not be able to talk to anyone. I wish there was a way to test the audio in the program, before getting into a drop.

I heard some people just fine and others were muffled not sure why. Some are garbled. I've been waiting for this feature for a long time. It's new so I'm sure they will work some of the bugs out. I'm glad it is finally here. Some of the problem may be getting used to pushing a button to talk instead of voice activated. Also I had some games where I talked and no one responded. Maybe they aren't set up for this yet but have voip activated by default so it looks like there are more people talking than there actually are.

I can hear but cant talk either.
Not tried all the settings combinations yet.
Tried remapping button and setting device to the headset in settings.

Voices have low bitrate, some not too bad, others cant be understood.

Units Teamspeak always working fine.

I suppose the right settings will get worked out in the following days.

I started team speak v3 which was already installed on my system, did a mike level test, and closed it, and started MWO, and the team speak began to work in MWO. I'll try this again tonight and see if it continues to work.

I'm using a Realtek integrated sound card and have team speak version 3 installed before MWO was patched. For the people who can't speak over in game VoIP is this similar on your systems?

I can hear fine when its on I can't talk, might be due to the voice activated mic I have.

however with voip on I have 30fps, with it shut off I have 60fps, so its a no brainer when it comes to the question do I use it or not.

Using the third party app doesn't cause anywhere as bit a performance hit, so what gives ?

Mine worked until it suddenly stopped one CW match. No amount of rebinding can get it to work.

I have the same setup and results. Can hear, can't be heard. Tried both available devices, all modes.

It SHOULD work fine with the same settings as TS3, right?

Additional note:

I have tried ti with separate TS running and with it off. Multiple PTT values including the default.

I will re-check everything when I get home from work tonight and report if it's still working. If it's not I'll look again.

Russ is aware of this thread and sent it to QA. If you are having problems

1) Turn up sensitivity all the way
2) Verify it works in other apps (TS, other games, etc)
3) ??/
4) Profit?

I had this issue, "fixed" it by running TS client (ver 3.0.16 04/08/14, QT ver 5.2.1) i have installed on my rig, After i closed TS and relaunched MWO .. suddenly im not qouting Pink Floyd anymore cause ppl can hear me :P
Possibly bug caused by me having client installed already.. dunno.

All of the muffled/garbled gobbledegook can be curbed if everybody makes sure to speak very clearly, enunciating and getting their face close to their microphone. You can't mumble in your mum's basement at 2am and expect it to come through clearly at the current low bitrate. Oh, and learn your NATO/ICAO.

Maybe you can shed some light on this variation of the issue?

http://www.reddit.co...l_interfacemic/

In short: my laptop internal microphone works perfectly fine and consistently, but I can't get VOIP to transmit when I'm using an external device.
