I understand now. You need to out number them 2 to 1 before you will even try to fight. You need the other team ghost dropping away so when you end up winning once every few matches you can still take the planet

we don't care. I was responding to the idea that we had the numbers to max out any planet we please. this is not the case. The fact that this is not the case is separate and distinct from the fact that no one cares about dots on the map unless they are funny and easy to troll people with.

case in point: we are currently taking dots from ghost bear. what happens to those dots is immaterial, but it's funny to take dots that have MS on them in real mech fights while Mercstar, who care deeply about those same dots, are forced to ghost drop. In this way, we win and they lose on multiple levels.

if they go back to ghost bear and take all the dots back again, we still won't care.

Actually we shifted our efforts toward CSJ before MS and CI joined Davion. We've also fought MS on both the Marik and CGB fronts, trying to take on both at the same time is incredibly foolish.

It's pretty fundamental tactics and how big armies have been worn down for the last 3k years +.

Big merc units function by concentration of force. The locust swarm a single faction and overwhelm it with numbers. However in doing so they have to abandon other positions. The best method to fight them is deny them a set battlefield. It dilutes the numbers advantage that ms has.

The better tactical choice would be to send about 36 good regular players back to cgb. With 228 in csj and CI plus the rest of ms in Davion that would stall Kurita and maximize ms performance.

This thread should just be allowed to die. It stopped being funny or fun several days ago.

If MS and CI both started attacking Marik, we would do exactly what Kurita did- we would bloody our knuckles punching their wall of players, then move on to where we would be able to actually make a difference.

I notice House Marik has switched to protecting the Inner Sphere from the Clans by gobbling up Steiner worlds instead of Davion worlds. Are they your new "allies" that you plan to "drill a hole through to get at the clans"?
