I remember building this in Mech2, and equipping jump jets and forsaking all armor and extra tonnage to build the ultimate speed demon. 500+kmh, 10/10 would race again and explode from a single stray er-small laser shot.

fix the speed to fit cerent speed max s and add it as clans need a 20 tonner for drop decks.
a dasher a cheetah and to kodiaks hehehe

Yes. Becuase IS gets a lighter mech than clans AND a higher tonnage cap.
Either clans needs to be able to bring a 260 ton dropdeck, or we need a 20 ton mech.

Yes, it needs to be added, regardless of its speed being capped. Even with the speed cap, the great maneuverability and accel/decel from the bigger engine and MASC will make it worth using. To make up for the 'lost' tonnage from the capped speed, you can simply give it heat dissipation quirks similar to the Locust. Problem solved.

We need a genuine light light. This role has not been filled. I love the locusts even though I suck at them.

Just bring it in with the max speed limit stock and then have MASC only give it agility buffs. Who cares if it cant go 200. If I can go from 0 - 174 in an instant. Good enough for me.

this game with its current 240 ton cap DIRE'ly needs at least one clan 20 ton mech !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thought I replied to the wrong post.

Any chance we can get some feedback from the Devs on this?
Given changes to the netcode, the reduction in speed tweak and the way MASC works in MWO....
What would the actual max speed of this thing be?

Lol the clan locust is the iic, and I say set the little ******* speed at 5 mph under hsr problems and be done with it :3, shut up and take my money pgi :3

I'll be glad to pay for any 20 ton Clan mech. The Fire Moth, Howler, or Piranha mostly for these reasons.

Fire Moth - The first 20 ton Omnimech with MASC
Howler - This is a middleman between the Fire Moth and Piranha. It's not so OP to be considered meta and it has good MASC speed that won't break the game.
Piranha - Spider on steroids, minus the jump jets. PGI would be foolish not to market this mech for their business.

They teasered the piranha a few months weeks, f it some time ago, and it would be a killer front pager for them (hey pgi look no salt LISTEN) the howler is hillarious tho default is 3x5 lrmpack
Mothopaf pgi give us all three. Hell I'll even stop spamming return to default fp weight restrictions, and I'll let you get away with 8v8 no matter how much I think it a dumpsterfire waiting to happen

A wild light pack appears, PGI uses mechpack, it's super effective, PGI uses mastercard, all four captured, you receive a locust 2c, a firemoth, a howler, and a piranha. GG wp

I’d be fine with the Fire Moth, even if it had a slightly slower speed to compensate for CryEngine.

Also, be advised that there always was an issue with several build in aspects of the games engine, HSR features and netcode that essentially forbade mechs to reach speeds over aproximatedly 150kph. This limit has been pushed to the nowadays just over 170kph.
So, no, this mech will not come to MWO since it would breake this limit by a fair margine....its masc variant even more so. Also even if you would just downgrade the mechs speed to max possible value it would have weaker armor than a Flea while having twice the frontal area due to beeing semi humanoid.

Come on! It's the Locust of the Clans! This would be a great Mech to add to the game.
