Greetings MechWarriors,

It's time for the Like a Champion MARK II Event! https://mwomercs.com/tournaments

You know the drill by now. Get Assists! Get Kills! Win the Match! Get loot!

Use the new in-match VoIP system to your advantage; it could make all the difference.

In order to score 1 point you must meet all three of the following criteria in a match:

• Get 1 or more Kill, get 1 or more Assist, and Win the match via either the Primary or Secondary Objectives.
  

Play "Like a Champion MARK II" this weekend and you could be 'raven' about the reward: a Raven RVN-3L(C) Champion 'Mech (complete with an associated MechBay) will go out to any player who can reach a total of 25 points!

To help make your battle for victory even more rewarding, you will be automatically rewarded with 3 days of Premium Time* upon achieving your first 3 points.

This event applies to all game modes (including Community Warfare) and any group size. Private matches are not eligible.

• 3 points = 3 days of Premium Time*
  
• 25 points = Raven RVN-3L(C) Champion 'Mech (Mech Bay included)
  
• 35 points = Raven Cockpit Item
  
• 50 Points = Virus Pattern unlocked for Raven 'Mechs

PGI, please stop with the whole "kill and win" aspect. It brings out the worst in people, and people often hate these events because of the way people act when they're going on. >.>

Free premium time is fine and all (and that is as good as I will do this weekend), but since most of my drops end in a loss - feh.

No improvement from last time, another grind. These events are starting to feel less like events right now. The "tournaments" are usually about who has a big enough poopsock to play all weekend and get a high number of perfect matches. The "challenges" only challenge your patience and desperation for C-bills.

Constructive criticism:

I would enjoy these challenges a lot more if I had a small window of opportunity and if the goals actually required me to change the way I normally play the game. It would make each event be more memorable and a nice change of pace from the normal play, whereas these challenges have the opposite effect. Either let each player start his own timer or have a two hour global window at peak North American, peak European and peak Oceanic times, friday, saturday and sunday. And give us some goals that require us to play the game in a different manner than we normally do, for the sake of variety.

Why not just get the kill and you get one point. Then it wouldn't be so tedious. The win condition is just a way to get the grind going because it practically doubles the matches you need to play.

*sigh* Well, I already have a 3L and I don't care about the other things so I'll just pick my meta mechs, just like everyone does in those events.

also yeah stop this get 1 kill 1 assist and win BS you could at least make it if you get 3 kills and 3 assist you get 3 points or if you get x amount of assist it will count as 1 kill or if you do most of he damage than some ********* taps your target wit 1 point of damage and kills him you still get the kill unless you have one already.

sigh. Kill AND win? The winning part always ruins these things. I'm at the matchmakers mercy and it is very unmerciful.

A Pattern for three 'Mechs of the same chassis, or a cockpit item is worth more than the 'Mech itself with included stock weapons? Maybe one needs to change 'MechBody Shop? You're being overcharged! lol
