I hope that will be a good model.
But the art is terrible!
Orange paint color makes it in the form of a claw. And over his head in the center of the torso black hole - what is it?
Spoiler

The 'black hole' is a heatsink. Like the grill on your car's radiator. Technically, one of those should be added to the model everywhere you put a heatsink on every mech... Without air movement, there's no cooling. And, for this reason, on maps like HPG Manifold.... Your mech technically should run hot as hell, as there's no atmosphere for the coolant to transfer it's heat away... Unless they operate on a different principle...

Actually, seeing the art right next to the original sketch makes me appreciate it more... I like the art, overall... I'd like it to be a little sharper-edged, but eh... It just REALLY needs that [Y] face, imo. I wonder who Katherine is....

Shadow... CAT? REALLY?
FAIL. Not Good...
Spoiler

I do not recall dogs, or females having any square or rectangular body parts. The Shadow Cat's cockpit looks like a cockpit.

I still want my firemoth. and the introduction of MASC will be interesting waiting to see how your going to work that out.

And I think given the current position of PGI with copyright and other law issues that could come from other models.... The shadowcat looks good, but i really want my prime(I) variant to say' 2 fast 4 U' on the side XD!

I think he means Katherine Steiner the traitor to the Federated Commonwealth that started the civil war between Davion and Steiner while the true Archon VictorSteiner Davion was out fighting the clans and beating them back. Grrr I hate her she has no place among the Clans or the Innersphere she should be sent out to the periphery and left alone.

And Kitty has even a bloodname. Cool!

(that mech should be painted in Jade Falcon colors though) :P

She's not really on stage in 3050 though... She doesn't become a player on the field until after Tukkayid when she you-know-whats you-know-who.

LOL, I did not even think of that. I think there is some Inception-level inferences going on here!

I do not know what you mean by 'claw' and I think I am on the right track for hole... But personally I do not mind the hole (in fact I like it more then the original art)

I do not think it's ugly and it's a very minor change from what we see with say... the Centurion... or the Kintaro. Or locust.

This is another 'Mech.
Not a picture is good or bad, and the other Mech without the Shadow Cat (45 t).

Y'know what? I completely renounce my earlier comment..

The mech doesn't scream 'Shadow cat' to me... If I saw it out of context, I would say it looks similar to one, but wpuld think it something else.... But that's because it is MORE accurate than any of the ones I'm familiar with. My views are just plain wrong, based on ignorance of the original design. And, that [Y] would be impossible to plant accurate shots with...

I really like this new model, even more so now that I see some of it's source material. So, thank you!

This is how I first saw them :

This is how I saw them for almost 15 years..

And this is how I last saw them:

Not a single hand present.... No wonder it looks odd to me!

Previous mechwarrior games were smart by discarding the arms/hands. Everyone knows the artwork of original BT sucks and so did Microsoft and Micropose when they made MW3 and MW4.

Now I see where you had an issue with the cockpit, it definitely has a very "modular" look, which also probably inspired your less-than-tactful anitomical analogy from earlier in this thread. I don't mind the "modular" look so much, because it fits the Omnimech theme.

Excuse me. It was nerve-wracking.

But... His head is not a module. HEAD: Fixed Armor slot. His head is part of the omni-technology core (CT).

True, I do not believe that a heavily armored walking tank would have such large gaps in the armor plating.

Well, I've been thinking about how I'm going to rig my Ebon Jaguar ever since they announced it :P And I've been doing some math, so I figured I'd share some statistics with you..

Without touching armor, these are the free tonnage values for each mech:
Arctic Cheetah: 9.5
Shadow Cat: 17
Ebon Jaguar: 30
Executioner: 27

That's right, the 95 ton mech has fewer tons to play with than the 65 ton. Part of this, 8 tons, is eaten up by Jump Jets. A good portion comes from the mammoth XL380 it carries. And it's further chipped away with a standard frame.

I really suspect the Executioner is going to be an unpopular mech, unless its model, or quirks lend it some aid. It's closest cousin, the Highlander, has in excess of 37 tons, even with 5 jjs. (At least, my modified Heavy Metal does, with an XL325) With the Dire Wolf S coming along (42.5 free tons), it won't have the strength of being the only jumping clan assault.

And, technically, you can free up 4 more tons on the DWF-S, as you can change the side torsos to other configs, leaving only the c-torso JJ. Just don't expect your JJ to do anything but get you over a rock...

Thanks to the endo/ferro on the EJ, and the SC, neither will be capable of carying an LB20X in the arm. The EJ can carry one in it's right torso, but there are only 8 crit slots in the arms. Gauss, and UAC/20 will fit still.

"When you purchase in February you will receive an additional Variant and Mech Bay per package level.

This will only apply to the Collection you purchase or upgrade to within the month of February.

Upgrading your Collection after the end of February will not result in additional Variants."

I assume this is old (not edited) and offset by the "purchase by Mar 17th"?

I'd like there to be no fixed JJ for the Executioner if you don't mind...
