...what a better way to celebrate than by blowing up Battlemechs? It's almost time for the red glare of Awesome LRM's bursting Jenners in mid air.

Yeah, it's mid-week this year, but still, let's say we kick down a few thousand more beta invites for the weekend, toss some more burgers on the grill, put on our neurohelmets, and call it a long holiday blowout?

*edit* And yeah, July 1st weekend as well. Even more reason to just make it a long holiday blow 'em all to bits beta weekend bash.

pssttt... they're Canadian. Their holiday falls on the 1st of July so the 2nd will be an off day (at least for me). On the 4th they'll be working to meet their self-imposed "Summer 2012" release date.

The only burgers will be those fetched by the office flunkie.

Even if they don't have the day off, most of their playerbase would.

They aren't witholding beta invites because they hate you, but rather because their servers will most likely burst into flames if they invite any more people before they get their real hardware.

While this would be nice, Russ indicated that their current hardware is at or near its limit for players. New hardware should be arriving July 10th.

Actually, according to polls, the single largest nationality represented on these forums is Russian. US comes after that, followed closely by Europe.

So no, not "most of their playerbase". Not even close
