What he said. In addition, it has been stated by the devs, and repeated on the forums ad naseum, that you will NEVER have to pay to play this game. That $ will not get you things that playing can't.
So this is a 100% free game.

I heard it costs extra if you want to use a mouse though.

OP I think you should be careful before you end up with some prime bridge real estate somewhere. I realize you are probably enthusiastic about the MW franchise but maybe you should do a little research before you drop $120 on a game.

I heard you had to buy a PC and pay for an Internet connection, if this is true the dev's have some explaining to do.

It's free to play, but to beat the grind you must pay.

Pay to play is seldom sccessful, the only real successful p2p I believe is World of warcraft (I have never bothered to play because it is a p2p)

Hi BduSlammer,
It seems you are unsure as to how they could pay their servers.
There are currently 2 payment systems for MMOs that been successful in the past:
Free to play
No subscription for the players but many useful items are to be bought in the cash shop. The Dev/Publisher earn cash by players spending money.
This model is based on: people with RL cash buy cash shop items (from micro transactions) and sell them to players that didn't spend RL cash but that spend time in the game grinding cash and items.
A submodel is called: Pay to Win: which means if u wanna be successful, you need to spend money. Or you need to grind a lot and buy the cash shop items of the players that have less time to play the game but that have RL cash (most often the adults).
Pay to play
Subscription required but everything you can reach with grinding in-game.
Cash Shop in Pay2Play games is for purely vanity items, nothing that you need but that is cute to have like a new mount.
I hope that helps your understanding of the importance of people actually buying stuff here, without this, no servers can be paid by them.
In some games, the Cash Shop users are treated badly out of jealousy of the none buyers ... which is the word stupid in persona.
Regards,
Anelor

Drop $120 on a game without even comprehending what the game is exactly... Surely he must be screwing with our heads.
