It's the only reason im just about to get my 25 points with very little effort. Only had three matches where this mech let me down, and each time it's because the team didn't get the win.

Triple Gauss is pretty effective, but it gets awful boring. I prefer using a mix of energy and smaller ballistic weapons. In fact, I usually run my Dire Wolf Prime stock!

I would say you earned it.

I mean, being able to aim and fire 3 weapons simultaneously AND hitting the same dime-sized spot from any distance between 0 meters and 1200 meters instantaneously is a helluva skill.

Oh wait, everybody in this game can do that.....

You can't fire more than two Gauss rifles simultaneously.

In that case, you dealt with it. I like.

I heard of a guy using 4 Gauss with 2 in each group.

You can only fire 2 gauss at a time. So 3 just allows you to have a single while you wait to fire the other double again.

quad gauss with like one or two tons of ammo. no armor so just a joke build.

Erm yes. 4x Guass is 48 tons. Available pod space on a DWF is just over 50 with full armor. So, without stripping any armor, you have 20 shots. And since you're firing in groups of two, thats 10 shots per group. Or, about 1/3 of the way through a good match - less if you're a bad shot. So, in order to make any use of the build at all, you have to start stripping armor. To make it any way viable, you need at least 4 tons of ammo, preferably 6. Stripping 2-4 tons off a DWF toting explosive weapons in all its vital parts is not smart.

Can it work? Sure. But that doesn't mean it's a great - or even good - build.

tbh im sure quad is pretty pointless. At least with triple, when i need a quick blast of laser up close, i've got 4 mediums which are more than enough to deal with circling lights

Gauss' are very effective vs everything except for those 2 or 3 light mechs at the end of a match that shoot your arms off.....grrrr

I personally prefer 3 Gauss + 2 SRM6s, MLs are a good choice though.

I was expecting this to be a CW screenshot showing crazy damage, but it's just someone picking on new players judging by the low damage score.

I'd love to see them make Solo queue have a drop deck as well...that would be interesting, 2 mechs 125T limit. Then the whole "This mech is OP" thing might change drastically

Are you so stupid that you can't see that this was OPs point.

I don't particularly agree (for sure there are way more OP builds out there, and without the DWF mobility issues), but whatever.

Yep I just refitted from 4x Gauss to 3x Gauss with MPL in the last week. So much more effective in the long run. The 4x is gimicky fun and really only works with a team that participates enough so you don't run out of ammo just tearing up enemy armor at the start or fending off lights biting your back.

Had not tried the SRMs since torso twist is so slow...nothing assault wise compares to my Atlas twist for me :(
