Just wanna say I like the grind. :)

I just enjoy it. Its fun. If I don't plan on keeping the mech I even grind it stock. Coming top 4 in a stock mech is far more satisfying than coming first in an optimized mech. I think anyway. :D

So back to the grind then. :D

Glad you like it, most don't! Especially with the constant balance issues.

It doesn't really qualify as "most [people]" but you can have a look at the posts I've made and probably find at least a couple dozen that complain about the crappy grind in this game, or topics such as this one too, and I still feel the same way now pretty much. I also made a number of posts in late 2013 but those are harder to track now because the "Pjwned's content" page only goes back by a year from the current date.

The grind does consist of playing the main game. That's why I don't mind the grind as much. Heck, my favorite mechs to play aren't Hero mechs, so I'm normally not playing a mech with any C-Bill boosters.

I will say this though. With all the possible mechs to buy and all the modules, there is far more variety and things to buy than ever before.

Because of this, I could see a small boost to earnings. If we had limited things to buy, a tighter economy makes more sense (can't have people quickly buying everything and getting bored), but with so many mechs and so many modules, improving the base grind a tiny bit (tiny bit), wouldn't be too bad.

Never understood how playing a game you enjoy is a grind? So you need to play the game you enjoy to earn in game items to then play with in the same game you enjoy.

I would actually be pretty much fine with "the grind" if you didn't have a gigantic disadvantage with a fresh stock mech vs. a customized mech with a mastered mech tree and full modules. The biggest annoyance by far about needing to grind is being at a significant disadvantage until you finish it, so if a stock mech was more or less equal to a customized mech then it wouldn't bother me nearly as much even if it still took quite a while to buy new mechs without paying cash.

The funny part about this whole topic is that PGI has given out a very surprisingly high amount of free stuff with their events, including over a dozen free mech bays that I've won and I've even missed several of them so I could have had more, but if PGI had just fixed the grinding nonsense I very likely would have bought those mech bays and ended up spending more money on the game than I have now.
