You... want them to fight Marik?

You want them to pull the resources away from their attacks on Clan Ghost Bear and Clan Smoke Jaguar?

And here I thought Marik was interested in the defense of Terra.

Its sad when the 'enemy' realizes that a war between Marik and the Draconis Combine would be bad for the Innersphere. Its also sad that someone still wants to taunt the Draconis Combine into attacking Marik when we all know they can't win that fight due to having an active front with two clans and Davion.... So instead of goading someone into an uneven fight just to show who is stronger, why don't we leave them (and this past issue) alone.

We can most definitely win the fight against Marik if that is what ends up happening. We are more than willing to sacrifice all other fronts if provoked by Marik. However, we've been taking CGB planets almost every ceasefire, giving Terra more breathing space.

After this ceasefire, Marik and Kurita will share a border. We'll see what happens from here.

You may win the battle, but you would lose the war. I have stated this numerous times. You already have three active fronts to deal with, why are you so eager for a fourth? Even you have to admit that goading Marik to attack you would go against the Draconis Combine's better interest. So instead of trying to start a fight with Marik, why don't you look into the idea of using Marik to attack a clan (with my crazy idea). Wouldn't it serve the Draconis Combine better to only have to worry about one clan and a poke or two from Davion? (As in Marik would handle one of the clans for you by proxy using the 'friendly competition' idea I posted earlier in this thread...)

It would make sense for us to attack only NORTH ... but this is the internetz ... making sense isn't reality. I think both Marik and Kurita want to prove themselves against each other. Kurita has been lucky in that we get fights pretty much all the time. Heck the Davions I give them great credit, they show up pretty much all the time even if we beat the crap out of them. HHoD, Warpigs, RRB, etc all keep it coming. For as one sided as the NS victories have been they generally don't even trash talk much. I may never like "Clan Davion (yes sarcasm RP dudes) but I can respect them for the effort.

HK is very busy on the CGB front taking advantage of CI/-MS- moving to the Davion front to re-take HK held Davion planets. This is why I think while the game is in BETA, Marik and Kurita should have an arranged war to get it out of their collective system sooner than later. (I know some of the Marik leadership dudes I haven't caught up with you yet in Teamspeak for the guys whom I am supposed to talk to but real life gets in the way so often).

I say if HK is able to push back hard on CGB ... let us keep it up, once that front collapses from CI / -MS- rejoining CGB then maybe lets have a fight night or something and then get everyone on the same page at fighting clans for the most part. (there will always be some whom want to fight each other ... many in NS has a hard on for Davion planets).

Also, to interested Marik units. NS has a scrim / practice night each Monday. We are actively working to arrange competitive style scrimmages. PM myself or PWNface if interested.

Right now 3 Houses can attack 4 Clans. You don't see a benefit from having 4-6 Houses attacking 4 Clans?

The benefit would be great but the mechanics of it actually working is in question. Who knows right? Maybe in retrospect we could have left the Marik wormhole experiment open ... but the -MS- tunneling was an eye opener and many just didn't feel comfortable with it being open unfortunately. Right or wrong we decided to close it.

So, basically, you shait your pants at the prospect of another front.
Then decided to do something about it quickly, before Marik got funny ideas or made up its mind.
And failed at predicting that Marik would ever make it through the 2 Dave worlds separating it from Kurita space.
Which resulted in one more angry enemy, but not one less front.

Normally I would post "Ha ha ha ha" here, but so much shortsightedness just makes me sad.
That´s even more amateurish than what our Marik politicians did. Quite a feat. Kudos to Mrs pwnface and co.

PS: So I guess you snakes assumed he 50 page shitpost thread between MS and Marik was just an elaborate ruse. Huh...I don´t even know what to say to that.

Saw the hole for what it was. Pardon you refuse to open your eyes. As for Marik making up its mind? Pfft, they had mercs that did that for them :P

Fixed that for you, munchkin.

We were more surprised that it took them this long to get through these two worlds.

Then again, maybe this "experiment" was a load of bovine manure from the start, and in fact nothing but an excuse for what is quite obviously Marik's sole goal: Gobble up as many worlds (owned by their IS neighbours) as possible.

If that isn´t witty nothing really is.

That's a succinct way to put what I have described in the thread "The Problem". Basically it's both: 3050 Clan Invasion superimposed on 3025 house vs. house warfare. And that does not really work, especially if the campaign lacks any set, clear goals other than "getz the planetz!"

THIS!

This is why I have brought up the idea of an "arranged war" ... to me it is clear sizeable segments inside of each population want a fight. Yet if we both do we absolutely face clan annihilation. So why not define objectives for each side. Agree to them and fight it out for a few days? ... Then go back to what we should be doing on the clan front.

Although, can you Marik guys hold off for a few more days. We are actively taking CGB planets.

Guys this war is going to happen, theres simply no way around. There has been far too many keyboard warriors on either side (although I think you'll agree one side has been particularly loud) for this not to happen.

Personally I'm looking forward to it and you should too. A fiercely contested border is exactly what we need.......although it does not bode well for the Inner Sphere in the short term, matters of honour are rarely a logical afair. Let us get it out of our system until the map is reset, maybe relations will be stronger for it.....who knows?

The simple fact is Marik cannot lose, no matter what you do Kurita you will lose planets rapidly. You may push into marik space in the best case scenario but you will lose 3 planets per cycle on your other fronts if you commit to that goal.....which im fine with even if you donate those worlds to your masters, the flithy clanner scum.

Should Marik win this encounter, I'm sure we will call an immediate ceasefire to all hostilities as soon as we touch clan space. That was after all the original idea behind the wormhole (look at how close the wormhole would of been to clan space now)

All in all, everyone has the complete freedom to say and do what they want on this forum.......however you will immediately pay a price in the form of unreserved disdain and critisism from your peers. Time to pay your debts.

Leave the forums gentlemen and climb into your mechs.

There really isn't much honor to be had attacking someone who you know doesn't have the resources to defend or attack back without losing on their other three fronts. It's kinda like kicking someone while their down...

I'd only ask you let us keep taking CGB planets until the CI / -MS- MERC cartels return to CGB space. Otherwise lets get it on! However we need to establish some objectives. You won't ever get to clan space by tunneling ... we both already know the algorithm doesn't work like that from the prior experiment.

(Roleplaying here) Last HK has abandoned a front before to take care of an IS upstart ... check the Davion borders.

I can never tell if you are just an idiot being serious or if you are trolling. I am guessing trolling but you are so consistent that I am starting to wonder.
