I am sure there are players like myself that can only play a few hours a day. so i propose the following changes to the premium time activation.

Option one:
============
Active prem time only counts down while the mech is in battle or the player is online. if the player logs out while a game is still in progress, the prem time counts down till the mech is out of battle. this allows the mech to still get the prem bonus for any kills they did and stop it once the battle is over and the player is offline.

Option two:
============
Allow player to active prem time in 2, 4, 8, 16, 24, 48, 72 hours. This will allow players like me to use the time when i can use it and not waste the time when i am at work or offline for reason that RL require.

I don't like having my premium time drain away, but if it only ran while we were online then it would last forever. If it lasted an extremely long time then it wouldn't be a viable source of income for PGI.

I like option 2, though I'd add bonus time when activating it for longer periods. For example, if you just want 1 day then you use up 1 day of banked time. If you want 1 week, you only use 6 days of banked time. If you want 1 month, you only use 20 days of banked time. Instead of offering discounts for buying larger quantities of premium time all at once, they could give us a discount for activating a large quantity all at once.

Opt 1: I understand it would last a long time if you dont play. but it would not last long as many who play for 10 hours a day on some days.

Opt2: Is the middle man of the current option and my Opt 1. This respects the players that can not be on every day and every hour

========================================================

I only get to use 2 days each week to play and maybe a few hours each day during the week if i don't have delays. over all i can play about 5-10 during the week, about 10-16 hours on my day off, if i even play that day. Even a min 3 day prem time activation is better for me and respects the casual player. i would be more inclined to buy premium time if i knew it would not be so atrociously wasted. Hell i would even be happy to buy MC from time to time, because i would have more respect for this game.

To bring my point in a little more. i am a Founder, I have all my time still. I also gain more every time i buy mech packs they offer.
Current allotment owed to me 91 days, in game activation would activate all 91, website activation would use 30.
Amount of time i play each day 3-4 hours, wasted time 20 hours. respect from PGI 0.

I will not use any of my time until i have the option to use small amounts that accommodate my time and play availability. If it does not change in the nearish future i will stop paying for any of the game.

I have paid my respects to PGI's coffers, the least they can do is respect the players time.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyone, that may have invested money into this game to :D SUPPORT PGI :D and out of respect for the name, :D MECHWARRIOR :D, should be allowed control over the amount of time used with each activation. :( It is NOT FAIR and greatly disrespectful to all casual players with PGI current limits our ability to use the prem time. Again i say: If given even a min 3 day time this game would have me using and buying more time.

No on opt1, yes on 2.

PT is probably the main source of regular income for PGI, so we'd hurt ourselves if we'd cut that off. To balance that, PT per MC would be decreased significantly, which would have a major impact on group behaviour:
I (and probably most players) would try to gain as much as possible out of premium time and probably would be very impatient with unit groups when people need to adjust stuff in the mechlab. And some people are weight more impatient, they'd probably prefer single drops over groupdrops when pt is active or go offline inbetween drops to spare running time.

If changed at all, PT should only count for actual battletime, not for being online. Imho, you could add this option to the poll.

However, to be able to activate PT in small potions (e.g. minimum 3 days) seems fair in every way.

What about a delay until prem time started counting again when you're offline? For example, you don't play for a couple days. The prem time would start after say, 24 hours offline. This could be a good comprise.

I think this would amount to the same thing as opt 1. PT would stop when you are not in battle or essentially when not playing/offline

This sounds good for the current system, if we had a PT stop when offline. If we have the option to activate smaller time amounts then it would not be as useful.

They already gave you the option of 30 days at a time on banked.
If you can only play weekends just buy smaller amounts of Premium simples.

Buy MC when its on offer and save it till you need it.
1 day 250 MC...
3 days 650 MC...

Not exactly bank breaking stuff here, and if you cant afford it just play at weekends when they seem to give you 3 free days every weekend now?!?!

You did not read the entire thing about PT and small amounts, AND casual players. But i can clarify that i would like to use BANKED time not buy new time. until banked is used why would i buy new time

My best idea is for PT to run at half speed when not playing.

i might be ok with that, but not if i am activating 30 days. I would still be losing 75% of it to work and other RL time eaters

I would like to activate at 3 day increments. Currently have 434 days of banked PT. I feel forced to play when a month is ticking down.

You should be able to spend premium time in the increments it was purchased in. If you bought 1 block of 30 days, 4 blocks of 1 day, and 2 blocks of 1 week, you should be able to select which one you want to activate, and leave the other 5 blocks waiting until you chose to activate again.

30 days is cheapest per day for a reason, but at the same time it might not be best for your particular schedule at the time.

Whats the cost of premium time per hour?

This should be in the original topic.

Or its far from a legit topic.

If its to low then your asking a game studio to make game mechanics for to cheap.

Never bought any prem time - but still have 11k banked time cause of the MechPacks.
I don't activate those premium time even when i could run premium till the end of the next year - simple because i don't play more than 10 games a month - don't have the spare time i want to have :mellow:

Maybe a "conversion" would be nice:
Activate - 30days as today
Activate 10day increments 1 day (fee)
Activate 3days (2day fee)

Convert 500X? hrs of standard premium time into gaming premium time (only active playing)

This is something where having a "subscription" would be good.
Subscribe for $10 a month.
1) Your Premium Time stops while you are logged off.
2) You get X amount of MC every month.
3) You get discounts on 'Mech packs.
PGI gets money, and you get a bonus.
