Profile / hit box / exposure will have a say on that.

EDIT: PS, a 3 ERLL Scat was NEVER a bad thing...

It's basically a bigger Kitfox. I love the Kitfox to death, so I can see the SCat being a fun mech. I'm eager to hear more details on the MASC implementation.

The problem with that build is ghost heat. It would be fairly extreme to control for a 45 tonner. I suppose if you got really good at spacing them 2+1, you could pull it off however. Or do the "Death Ray" and chainfire all 3 of them.

Yeah, I had to do that with my Shadowhawk 2K with 3xERLL, (Before they removed ghost heat from the 3rd IS lasers) but those run considerably cooler, and you can pack more DHS into a 55 tonner.
I'm also looking forward to running this thing as a hybrid LRM/Laserboat, or a hard hitting SRM/MPL skirmisher. The more I look at this mech's hardpoints, the more that I like.

You can do it on an Adder, so it should work just fine on the Shadow Cat.

You can replace 'ShadowCat' with a great majority of 'mechs in the game and this statement would still be true.
We need to get away from huge alphas and into smaller constant shots.
Then 'mechs with fewer hardpoints aren't shafted by the inability to drop 50+ damage alphas and scuttle back into cover.

2xLPL + ECM + 4xDHS
3xERLL + ECM + 3xDHS
2xASRM6 + 3xERML + ECM + 2T Ammo + 5xDHS
3xSSRM6 + 2xERML + ECM + 3T Ammo + 1xDHS
2xERPPC + ECM + 4xDHS (Feeling hot hot hot)
1xERPPC + 2xASRM6 + ECM + 2T Ammo + 2xDHS
Might do Gauss + ECM + 4T ammo, but i think it will suck, not enough tonnage to run Gauss really.
Will use the Jesus box on 100% of builds, if i want to run an Arrrow, ill run an Arrow - IS blue wub is better anyway.

I doubt it'll be super meta, but so long has the hit boxes are pkay, I don't see it not being serviceable.

Maybe if i take small lasers for an additional ton of ammo...i'm also considering ac/lbx 10...

A 10 rated AC you can do with a pair of ERMLs and ECM and 3 tons of ammo. With the ammo buff, even 2 might be enough, but 3 is a safe bet.
Likely inferior to pure lasers, but it should work.

Which doesn't need to expose as much as its wide body, and has better cooling.
14.5 with no JJs VS 16 with 6 JJs, higher weapon mounts.
It will be a better robot, but 15 tons better? Unlikely. Better CW robot than the Cute Fox because it does the range game better.
