A = Alpha
B = Bravo
C = Charlie
D = Delta
E = Echo
F = Foxtrot
G = Golf
H = Hotel
I = India
J = Juliet
K = Kilo
L = Lima (Lee-ma)
M = Mike
N = November
O = Oscar
P = Papa
Q = Quebec (Key-beck)
R = Romeo
S = Sierra
T = Tango
U = Uniform
V = Victor
W = Whiskey

Not quite - as a lot of words sound like other words starting with different letters

All and Owl for example.

The Phonetic Alphabet is a list of words that do not.

To mention it... I could be absolutely cruel and point out how most of the factions have their own Phonetic Alphabet, most of which seems to be based on the 1950s.

(Example it's very common that the IS factions use Dog instead of Delta, Baker instead of Bravo, Able instead of Alpha, Easy instead of Echo, Fox instead of Foxtrot, etc.).

"Op Point Able..."
"Op Point Baker"
Etc.

Instead, I'll just mention that Clanners will use the following:

B = Beta
C = Gamma
D = Delta
E = Epsilon
F = Zeta
G = Eta
H = Theta
I = Iota
J = Kappa
K = Lamda
L = Mu
M = Nu
N = Xi
O = Omicron
P = Pi
Q = Rho
R = Sigma
S = Tau
T = Upsilon
U = Phi
V = Chi
W = Psi
X = Omega

Just say anything, it mostly comes out as "mrrrbgh zzzzt exterminate morbgph bough drrk" anyway until they decide to improve the bitrate.

There's more than one phonetic alphabet. The key is to have a word that is two syllables, and doesn't sound much like any other word it could be mistaken for.

many many accepted phonetic alphabets. i tend to use NATO but when dealing with non RTO types i substitute a few of the more confusing ones like Paul instead of PAPA, kilo and Quebec are other ones that that make people unfamiliar with the nato alphabet pause. so i use king and queen. zulu is also in that bunch so zebra is sometimes better.

bonus points to all who say "i spell" before using a phonetic alphabets

good point but i think in conquest folks will go huh if i type cap T, G is hot, going to S. make life simpler if it works. have to try and see

Québec isn't pronounced KAY-beck.
It's either:
kuh-BECK (if you're English but were raised in Québec, as I was), or
kwuh-BECK, if you're English and from anywhere else in North America.

You might find some Francophones that say kay-BECK, but we aren't speaking French, we're speaking English.

A largish portion (hell, perhaps all now, I'm severely out of the loop) of the Corsairs use phonetics to call targets, which has always given me a moment of cognitive dissonance to determine exactly what they meant. (Yea, like .oO(...OH! "Bravo" means "B"!!! Okay!)Oo...)

My teammates can attest, when I try it myself it inevitably comes out something like, "Focus Target...

Ive never heard anyone pronounce Quebec with a hard Q. I always thought it was 'kwuh-beck' (Im from the UK).
