Please Vote on the Bar above.

As is am sure everyone has seen in the last few days. our famous team killing player 'Buttlord Scourge of Servers' or better know and Bootylord by the players who died or killed him in return.

I purpose that PGI add an ingame reporting too. This tool should have someone monitor it at all times. if enough people report a player for Team killing in a short period of time it should ban disconnect them from the game and ban their account until you can investigate the reports.
This tool will log the game id for each report for easy tracking.

Auto-ban would be a lot more efficient.

=========================================================
Now for my personal rant about PGI and their Disrespect for its players

PGI has failed us in the most critical way possible; By allowing a player to ruin the game experience for many players, in some cases we may have lost players permanently because of this.
Not only did PGI make it hard to report a player by having to leave the game to send an email; They made us endure this over and over with no support because it was after hours for their work schedule.
Its as if we the players did not deserve support. We are not worth helping on the weekends and we are not helping keep them going by spending money buying mech packs and MC, or making this game popular by word of mouth.
No, the people that make this game what it is are not important. We have not earned a right to expect a quick and timely response, an easy way to report issues and players.

PGI, what the hell. why is the support for this game so shoddy. Why cant we get a response to our issues when it is needed, in a timely manner?

I think there is a lot of potential for abuse with an "Report" based Auto-Ban feature. Maybe an in-game stat based suspension feature with a 2 hour CD would be better. The 2 hour suspension window add in 24-hour support and I think we would have a good solution. What do you think?

I had to TK some guy on my team because he got angry and tried to kill me - I wasn't moving, but it appears I was in his path, because he shot at me to try to get me to move.

Then there are the dudes who write up alternate accounts to do nothing but kill allies.

People running troll builds and just screwing their team over by playing with pure solo tactics, no thought to helping their allies.

People who join matches and then AFK the whole way through repeatedly.

Mistakes happen from time to time, but we really need some kind of system for administering bans, cooldown periods, and all that jazz for offenders. This game has gotten away with a lack of such tools for a long time due to the small playerbase, but lately it appears to have reached a point where we need the tools to police ourselves as a community. PLEASE grant us those tools at some point.

EDIT: Oh, and automatic bans based on any criteria are a terrible idea - people will group up, use their numbers to drive away legitimate players and add unnecessary bans to their account history.

Would you mind removing the leading answers from your poll? Simple "yes", "no", "abstain" is completly sufficient and needs no coloring.

You should also look for the checkbox for multiple answers and disable those.

I am all for an ingame reporting tool and i also think that we are in urgent need of an autoban-functionality. Just because reporting a player for teamkilling in the proper way with screenshots, timestamps, descriptions via email take you longer then creating a new account in this f2p-game (which means before you are even reported you can go on with the next account for no costs at all and tk again in Trial Mechs all day long...).

What i do NOT like is the idea of an autoban after a certain number of reports. It would be far too easy to abuse such a function. But it is unneccesary anyway, because the game already counts your teamkills and teamdamage for calculating your earnings every match. How hard can it be to add a function that automatically bans players afters massive teamdamage and teamkills? And i do not mean the occassional accidental tk (and even those should be rare enough, i might have 8-12 since i am playing and i play since closed beta...).

Not just this guy, but TK'ing in general. It really should not be that difficult to have a mechanic running in the backbround of the game that can detect deliberate TK activity and auto-kick the player from the game if they do more than 100 points of damage to their own team within any 5 second window (allows for an alpha), or more than say 150 points total at any time over the course of a game. Have the account locked for 10 mins the first offense, doubling each time within a 24 hour period at which point it resets. This will shut down the griefers while giving room for genuine friendly fire incidents.
