It has been mentioned elsewhere in the forums that Clan vs IS should follow canon and have 10 Clan vs 12 IS, but PGI is committed to 4vs4, 8vs8, 12vs12 drops.
That 5/6 ratio could be implemented in drop weight with IS 240t stacked against Clan 200t weights.
A 10-ton advantage isn't much, but it's a start.

Personally I would have like to have seen a new star option replacing the 4 mech lance for the clans or have two spots in one lance made unavailable for the clans so we get a 10 vs 12 setup.

Koshiru made an interesting point which I noted as well.
The suggestion is to have the increased tonnage only for IS vs Clan matches. Otherwise it's still 240.
This simply doesn't make sense as you would need to change your drop deck for different matches as an IS player.
I would suggest that this be changed so that IS always has 250 tons, clans always have 240.
That is far simpler.... but a different solution is preferred overall.


Or the ability to have multiple drop decks be selected through a drop down menu with total weight displayed as (240) Loadout 1, (250) Loadout 2

Here's the thing that really gets me about this "balance."

IS gets 250 vs Clans and 240 vs IS.

So if a player wants to switch between fighting Clan and IS they have to frequently change their dropdeck. I can see that getting annoying for some people...

They might has well have just given IS 250 ton drops for ALL fights, not just vs Clan. 250 / 250 = 240 / 240

It makes no sense whatsoever. :P

Oh hey, ten tons more is totally going to balance things! I think it's probably pushing it a bit too far for IS, maybe reduce to 5 tons.

Wow I missed out on that MechWarrior living legends it looks about 100% better than where this game stands (game wise) I do like the models and art a little better in this game, except he missles in that one looked perfect , they should hire some of the people that worked on it
