Call me a pessimist, but I bet the poor 4X will get even lower ballistic weapon mounts ;-)

Considering MWO - i call you a realist

Not sure if i get what you're trying to say, but it's funny either way... (I guess it's a complaint about the small barrel size of new PPCs?)

Still hoping they come by to do the Cicada, which doesn't strike me as difficult to update, but maybe I'm wrong...

Whaddya mean why? They're fixing something and you're asking why? Here's a why for you. Why aren't you happy they're starting to fix this stuff?

You can't fix what isn't broken.

They fixed the Centurion, they fixed the Catapult - and now they are gone fix the Catapract

I'll give them one thing though. The Centurion's ballistic arm has much smaller hitbox now. Back in the day nobody in their right mind would use any ballistic weapon on the Cent, since the right arm was the first thing to go. Nowadays the Cents die before loosing their gun arm, just like Panthers.

That was not a problem of the "art" of the arm but the hitboxes.
The "Zombie" status of the Centurion was because the hitboxes for the arms were to big (you know shoot for the head hit the arm) together with the "reduced damage transfer" Centurions could take enormous damage.

After the hitbox fix - i hardly ever lost an arm on a Centurion - nothing did change with the "weapon geometry" nonsense

To speed up the workflow, they could just take the new centurion arm and put it on the Cataphract.

I'm positive it got a new arm hitbox along with it's new visual model.

BTW: nowadays in the land of 3+ LPL alphas and short beam durations I use XL in my Centurions, in order to be as fast as possible while carrying maximum firepower. Hit hard & get away fast. If you wand to duke it out and trade blows, get a Hunchback.

Whoever carries PPCs in the Jagermech`s torso needs their head checked.
But since we have AC20 modeled on a Locust even though it's not possible to drop with one.

I guess AC20 was modeled for Locust with Urbanmech 60 engine in mind.

I am looking forward to Cicadas pass.

Why do they keep going through old mechs with their sad excuse for weapon geometry when its clear as day the community doesnotwant.

You do not speak for the entire community. I like the fact that on several mechs I can now tell what weaponry they are carrying if I am close enough to visually inspect the mech.

So you can see the difference between a AC 2 and a AC 5 - do you use a ruler?
Or the difference between a Large Laser and a Small One?

For this part i know to hit "R"

I would have liked the weapon geometry - but they always leave enough room for a second/third weapon - if this arm has 3 hardpoints.

Another ugly thing - the missile tubes - the Centurion was the most sexy Mech in the game and now its a Jester

Nope, but I can tell when a Centurion skipped a Ballistic or just put MGs in the right arm and went heavy on SRMs. I then don't waste time on the right side of that mech I go for CT and LT.

Yep... unless they are in ECM cover... but no one uses ECM... right?

My question is why the Jager and not the Awesomes?

Because myself and the other three people that drive Awesomes are nonplussed about the whole thing.

You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a morbidly obese cannot-be-fixed-without-a-redesign pig.
