Anyone noticed more problems with their HUD than before? Still seeing disconnects? I am.. (The weekend challenge was actually great for the lack of Discos..)

I think this announcement gets PGI the RAZZIE for online gaming..

GG..

(I say this in the best of taste.. the irony.. oh the irony..)

Can someone please remove the random red triangles and targets from my HUD? :( x

Same here... the "ghost targets" now pops up in the center of my screen like a damn splattered fly on my windshield out of nowhere more frequently than ever... Also, CW map is completely fed up... What the hell happened to the borders!? Anarchy broke out or something?

I tried a fix with the repair tool (make it 2 fixes already) and no dice...

(ill provide a screenshot of this later)

  • Fixed the remaining issues with 'Mech centering.

Mmmmmnope. This is not fixed yet. I still experience the torso twist jitters. Pressing "C" to center torso to legs fixes it but it keeps coming up whenever I try to aim smoothly. Makes aiming almost impossible.

I played a few games last night with different mechs.

I did notice the red target issue, but everything else seemed to work okay for me.

The DCs seemed to be about the same. One or two at the start of a match, but they usually connected before the match started.

And "F" was working for me.

Overall I didn't see any showstoppers.

Just a random idea that popped into my head while I was reading the March road map.

I wonder if it would work well for Russ's team to adopt a "tick-tock" cadence to their patches (a'la Intel CPUs) where we get a "tick" patch that is mostly or all bug fixes and a "tock" patch two weeks later that is more focused on content, then another "tick"/bug-fix patch, etc.

I think it would give some predictability to the patches and since new patches often introduce new bugs I think it could help his team be more efficient since they'd really be able to focus one thing at a time (at least more than if they're trying to put some of both into every patch. Of course, if the folks who fix the bugs don't create any content and the people who create the content don't ever fix bugs then it probably wouldn't help get more stuff done but I think that everyone knowing what kind of things we'll see in each patch without having to hear it from you guys would be great and I think you'd see more people be excited about the next patch well before it comes out.

I think it would also FEEL like more bugs are being fixed and more content getting delivered to get all of March's new content in one patch and all of March's bug fixes in another (even if the isn't actually any increase in content creation or bug fixing). If it really did mean more bug fixes and content faster then it will still feel like even more. And, at least with the clan 'mechs, when become available to purchase for c-bills, that feels like new content to a lot of people anyways.

PS: 360° can also be two times 180°, no?

This just gave me an idea for the UrbanMech which can fix their problem...

IF they switch it from a 360° torso twist to the 180° as you say, as long as it starts from the Center Torso and goes out on each side, whenever you are -over- 90° on either side, when you push "C", your torso centers to the back or front, whichever is the closest.

It would effectivly make it a 360° twist but again, if you are on the back, you cannot quickly center to the front.

Hmmm... Unless they made a button binding for "Center to back" or something...

I love how a gimmick mech is causing all these problems.

Increased the volume for Clan Warhorns and the ComStar Warhorn.

I want to have the option to turn these blasted warhorns OFF.

Gameplay Settings
:checkbox: Clan Warhorns
:checkbox: Comstar
:checkbox: Heavy Metal

Simple. Easy.

Thank you.

Anyone noticing less fps drops during heavy combat? I still get the usual mega fps drop if I walk backwards while my mech is hot, but overall combat seems more smooth.
Oh, I'm getting the HUD glitches too.

New music track is nice.

Has anyone else noticed that now, in the map, if you put up icons multiple times, they no longer disappear and replace like they used to?

I'm enjoying the louder horns. I'm actually noticing the odd one every now and then. I could barely even hear my own before.
But overall I don't think too many people are equipping them.

Toaster ovens: Banshee (Who the hell needs 6 large wub guns?)

Agreed it's a terrible trial mech because it requires quite a bit of skill to master. Truth is though this loadout rocks. I had this build before it was champion. The hardpoint position is what *makes* this mech a killing machine. Other mechs have better quirks but subpar hardpoint placement. The top 2 lasers on either torso can be fired for barely peeking over a ledge before retreating back, minimizing damage taken. I bind them in left-group 1 and right-group 2, and bind the bottom to 3 which I only use in brawling. Of course stagger their fire to avoid ghost heat. Now you've got a mech that can poptart and 44dmg, brawl for 66 dmg per volley. He's a wub wub beast. Regularly get 600-700 dmg per match and have gone as high as 2600.

I'm only disappointed the secret is out. But yeah, definitely *not* newbie friendly.

Now if they would just increase the sound of the Cameron Star warhorn to make it louder.

Since the patch I appear to be unable to load a map unless I close the MWO client & hit "Rejoin" once I'm back in :(

Tried just being more patient. When I eventually gave up & restarted/rejoined, the game was over :(

That's greaaaaat. Know what else would be awesome? Give people the ability to mute warhorns if they don't want to hear them.

Also, have they fixed the center legs to torso problem with the Hunchback yet? I didn't see any notes about that.

Just wanted to say that the freezes are still there, played my first round of Mwo in weeks, got Forest Colony Snow -> freeze. And oh joy, since the Geforce 347 series drivers it results not only in a freeze but also a driver crash and the game has to be killed with the task manager because otherwise the screen simply stays black -.-

I don't know what have you done at the last patch, but now the game freezed frequently until it quit automatically to the lobby, should be rejoined but it still same, freeze and freeze. It's very disappoint.

I find it especially funny since this only happens on Nvidia cards and this is a "way its meant to be played" game :D
