xinput1_3.dll error comes up when I try to start the game, then crashes me, no problems until most recent patch (today) am currently re-installing directx as this is what my searches indicated might be the issue. Anyone with other knowledge, any help would be apreciated!

Thank you! Huge help. I play MWO on a few different PC's. This fix was quick and easy. One thread had (and still has) a malware link in it. VERY discouraging to see from the community. One bad apple...

That is MS packaging. The other option would be to download/unpack/install the redistribution package which does not have the Bing Bar installation offer....
