Too funny. Community wanted the VOIP.

But no one uses it. Spot on.

I hope time will tell and people will use it. But as of now i am the only one of the few who are using it in the solo que.

(The low quality and the tons of problems isnt helping either, ha)

Not in my experience. almost every game i play its being used, and i play ALOT

Yes and from now on I only will play or purchase "traditionally developed" games from big-name companies.

When I fire up the game and play, I have fun still. I'm hopeful for new maps and game modes and for CW to become a little more interesting than it currently is, but regardless, I enjoy the game.

Having fun playing a shooty robot game is the extent of my expectations.

So what's the issue, if you have low expectations PGI delivers? PGI, 15 years of putting the Minimal in Minimally Viable!!!!!

You know what's the best part?.....those who keep attacking PGI or the people that like the game .....are still playing it. The best those people can do is stop playing and leave....just that....why waste their time like this? really.

Those who whine and as you say "attack" do that because they care about the game. If not they would be off and you would not hear anything. Just cold silence, as many have already left and you don`t hear them anymore.

Regular taking breaks here helps. When i dont enjoy it no more, i take a break.

VOIP in pug groups so far as been a hit or miss, when used effectively has made for either a stomp or very close game, win or lose. Unfortunately, due to the lack of the current chat abilities/setup, there has not been time to build up battledrop commanders, either being the one providing direction or having learned from previous drop commanders. There is a huge difference between attempting to use situation awareness, mini/battlemap and trying to be where you think you need to be vs trying to provide that intel all of a sudden via VOIP. If the chat screen was better made, easier to use, command wheel, etc then the switch to in-game VOIP would have been an easier switch since pugs would have been more use to receiving some sort of direction some of the time.

But I should have said that the PGI expectations and roadmap has had to change over time. He mentioned those who played competitive multiplayer their reasoning to bypass the in-house VOIP for 3rd party programs. This needed to have been beat around a tad longer though cause aren't most multiplayer games have some sort of respawn/multiple lives involved? With MWO, until CW came along, there was no respawn so being able to take out the enemy asap resulted in teams (who tended to use VOIP more often) being separated from the "solo" queue.

Finally, as already mentioned, from the bygone days we would not have been privy to the number of game changes that the game has gone through since it would have all been in-house with multiple teams working on it. Considering where PGI is at, I am not too disappointed and when I drop I do have fun. I do have expectations but I am also patient, especially if things are rushed and goes south another MW/BT game may never be made unless it is modded on another gaming system.

as an example of petty and childish the "gaming community" is?

face it, the only people who make this kind of stuff are just plain sad. Lacking the self esteem to just not sweat the small stuff

basically, pathetic

OR they are the ones who are financially invested in a F2P game and have a right, if just a little, to voice their opinion.

All you are doing is exactly what you are accusing them of doing, acting petty and childish.

Everyone has the right to voice their opinion. No matter how much they invested.

It's the way and tenacity with which this opinion is voiced thats often the problem.

lols its a factual historical timeline of events.

Youre like Fox News bro.

The timeline speaks for itself. Are you saying those events didnt happen?

Which only applies to certain people. What about the players who handle themselves respectfully and professionally?

When did everyone who offers insight, opinions, and historical information become "complainers"?

Generalization is never acceptable, though it is the number one choice of humans everywhere. It is easier to throw everyone in the same bucket vs. actually looking at statistics.
