Basically Summoner is getting quirked.
We can move on with our lives now.
Here is a visual metaphor:

Quirks ain't gonna do it. For the Summoner, or establishing a decent baseline for Clan balance period. FREE ENDO FOR THE POOR!!!!!!
http://mwomercs.com/...-or-storm-crow/
except no quirk substitutes! (or rather....use quirks as they should be, as the final tuning tool AFTER the more logical, far reaching fixes are in place)

No, unlocking endo isn't going to fix the problems. Nova can't even use it.

Whenever I have brought this up, the forum warriors have told me PGI can't do it because licensing. Like there's some line in the sand saying they can change how everything works and stats on any weapon but not certain mech equipment.
Totally ridiculous, I think, but it'd be nice if Russ would clarify on Twitter or something. I just haven't asked him.

actually, the Nova can, though it does not benefit as much as others.
Nor doe the thread claim that it is the "cure all".
The point is that it puts Omni's on a more equal footing amongst each other, thus reducing outliers, and making gauging and fixing clan mech balance as a whole, simpler. It brings several of the bads up closer to the base line, and demonstrates more clearly how far over, if at all, mechs like the TW, DW and SC truly are.
Aka, it's a logical first step in fixing balance.

Good, more 40 page endo threads, more likely the point is finally made.

The logical first step is acknowledging the first step, which is what PGI has at least done. We'll see what happens I guess...

I find it disturbing that you are gawking at my Summoner as it runs naked through the fields..... It had armor when the match started, dang it!

Head with an E would be a nice gift to console us.
I can supply my own endo.
Quirks better Summon some Air-Jordan hang time.

Yes, they're supposed to have actuators on, don't ask me why smurfy does that when I link ****, maybe it always does.

Could use an AMS for the death machine.

Jump Jets... literally the only friggin problem with this mech is that it CANT JUMP AND MOVE FOR ****. Its supposed to be a highly mobile Heavy adept at quick strikes and repositioning. What do we have? A Hellbringer that can hover with locked tonnage waste...

By using heavier weapons. Sure, the .5t CERSL builds will not see much improvement but I could get two more DHS and max leg armor on my 12 SPL builds. You could also get more mileage out of builds involving CERLLs like duplicating the 2/3 and 2/4 L/M builds from the SCR.
In a perfect world they would allow some limited engine unlocks as well. ES + 300XL would be a nice upgrade for the Nova.

Fun fact, if you were allowed to change the engine, you could move to a 300XL (which is a TT restriction; engines need to be divisible by tonnage) you would lose exactly a half ton, and lose three crit slots. Lose a JJ, you lose no tonnage, and 2 crit slots.
Moving 107 would help a little.
As for 2.5 tons; how about this:
NVA-Gauss
Max armour. Drop the shield arm and mount a TC1 if you want. If the UAC10s get a buff, swap to that and some ERMLs.
This one runs hot, but could be deadly:
NVA-UAC10 5ERML

If Nova had Summoner speed that'd be quite classy.
