Well, which is the king of mobility in the assault lineup?

In terms of torso angle, torso twist angle speed, move speed etc.

Best top speed is the Gargles. I think the Gargles might also win agility, but IDK.

However, the Gargles has issues with uneven terrain because of being listed as a "Huge" mech and not having JJs. The Victor is probably better for vertical/uneven terrain mobility.

I feared it would be so.

I've got the champion variant from an older challenge. The thing turns like it was stuck in molasses. :/

Gargles for Clan

IS

-Victor for the jumpjets, but I'm addicted to quirks so--

-Blitzmaster builds are very capable of running 80kph with serious firepower

-AWS-9M is a personal favorite of mine, running 85kph with dual ERPPCs and a battery of backup Mlas

drop in an xl400 and a banshee can do 75. thought a victor can do around 80 on a lesser engine.

Not sure if you played before the quirk pass or not, but Victors had a mobility nerf taken away. It might be better now.

For a moment there, I shed a tear for my Gargles.

*insert Invasion gargles pic here*

for IS, the dragon slayer (victor) and pretty baby (awesome) are both 80 ton hero mechs that can run a XL400, wich lets them run at 89.1.

non hero versions of the victor and the awesome 9m can run up to 385 wich lets them go 85.8, however i wouldnt run an engine that large on a victor, they seem to like a 350, so you have tonnage for ballistics.

the awesome 9m works well with an xl380 (85kph) and being energy based i would say this is the "fastest" usable loadout.

heres what i did in mine last night

80 tonners.
85 tonners can push it.

But the Executioner will be the fastest assault mech overall -- in short bursts that could blow out its legs.

Actually of the PB and DS can get 89.1, then they kinda trump the Executioner by a few kph.

the AWE-PB: highest engine rating capacity (400, giving it a speed of 89.1 kph once elite'd) combined with increased Torse Pitch and Yaw (+10% each, which by itself isn't significant, but combine all 3 factors ....)

as far as practicality goes since no assault can be considered 'nimble' i think it's important to have high weapon mounts so you can stay behind cover and increase your effectiveness and survivability dramatically. the Victor may have speed, but it's weapon arms are practically dragging on the ground so you end up shooting more dirt than enemy mechs unless you spend (entirely too much) time positioning yourself properly

2 mechs IMO dominate in this area, both which are 400XL capable

the more nimble BLR-3S

and my personal fav BNC-3M

if u want to invest real money, go for the pretty baby. with its quirks and high mobility you can reach impressive match scores.
i like this build most: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...c36b09c5a9aa91e

it looks weak, but u will do a good amount of damage in quite a short time.

nice glad to see another PB fan representin

Mine's a little slower (XL 380) but trades the missiles in for a lrm15 and 2x srm4 with artemis.

Keep em at about 250m and the damage rains down!!!

While not the fastest, high engine Banshees provide a surprisingly large amount of mobility for the stopping power you bring to the table.

Timberwolf

(Yes I know its a heavy. I also know mine packs assault firepower and out-mobilities anything)
