No one expects the CW inquisition!!! Our chief weapons is Teamwork, quirks, their are two weapons, and meta mechs....no! their are three weapons, and an almost fanatical devotion to MWO , No their is four weapons!

They extend max range, to a point. IS is capped at 1500m for beam weapon range. Meanwhile the clans are capped at 2k.

aaaaah the light dawns. cool, that makes a ton of sense.

You sure about that?

Ill test it for myself later, should be easy enough to find target in testing grounds on alpine and see if i can hit it from 1800m away.

Last I knew they had not reigned in clans below 2000m cap...(not that we can actually get anything to hit that far anymore...)

well iv been playing this CW beta since the first day , today is the last day i will play CW matches at all until someone from PGI ,in this thread, explains the following issues:

[Blah, blah, blah, blah...]

i have mechs i have ability and attuide...99.9 percent of the people who play this game are unthinking cbill grubbing clan footlicking spineless mercanaries, who could not stand for something even if you encased them in ferrocrete cladding.
thats what the problem is.

Firstly, PGI, please do not come into this forum thread. Please never answer this man's questions. I am of the opinion that CW benefits significantly from the non-participatory protests of this man and others like him. Do not meet his demands, for so long as you avoid doing so, we don't have to deal with him in-game. =)

Secondly, you literally said in one of your posts that I've partially quoted here (I can only assume it was an accident on your part, completely understandable in the midst of a butthurt rage) that 99.9% of players are clanners, or mercs who play exclusively for clanners. I mean, hey, correct me if I misinterpreted your statement.

On an entirely unrelated note, I just have an excellent strip of bacon. Like, nice and juicy, moderate crisping at the edges. Why, I feel invigorated and rejuvenated.

Sir, perhaps consuming more bacon would help solve your problems?

I'm still trying to find out where the inquisition comes into play.

'Cause he wants answers and he wants them now, I guess. I'd imagine he's all redfaced when he says it, fist raised and shaking. Maybe there's a pitchfork in his other hand.

I imagine more like it is as he hides under a troll bridge, just out of the sunlight, with a stick waving in the air.

Yep, you do appear to be correct - it doesnt really matter that much though, since at over 1500m youd be doing negligable dmg anyway (3 for a 911m ERLL at 1510m or so)

But still, its stupid - why the cap?

Natural engine limitation that they never tinkered with beyond the initial phase of settings adjustments. As I recall, they attempted to go back in when CERLL could hit 1002m effective range after the range 5 modules dropped; however it was nontrivially complex to change it at this stage, and they left it alone because no one would really miss 4m anyway.
