To further integrate what was said here... this is the program I mentioned earlier.

The fact that such a thing was even developed let alone spread on the MWO forums should tell you something about the fact that the exploit does exist (for an insanely long time) and has yet to be addressed directly.

I really think the jump jet system should be reworked too be a "jump" more then a hover I think MWLL nailed it perfectly. You could get a burst of power that would propel your mech either straight up or in a direction, these bursts could be use a few times but over use would cause over heating, also landing on un even terrain would cause a lock up for 1 - 2 seconds before the mech could move. It encouraged the Jump jets too be used as a maneuver tool instead of being spammed every second too hop and skip all over the place. It also meant poptarters had too be careful on how much thrust the jets pumped out so not too over extend your duration in the area and the impact on the legs.

Better jump jets would indeed fix this, I don't think they should have any shame making their jets similar to MWLL. Doesn't have to be exact, but close would make a huge difference in fun.

As far as I see it MWLL jump jet system gave the jets there advantages but so much that you could not abuse them for any thing. IMO MWLL nailed many things too make the game feel more mechwarrior

Exactly. Making the jets "TOO" powerful is just as bad for poptarts as making them too weak! BUT it also makes them good for brawlers and crossing terrain. Win-win.

It's an issue on 13 mechs not including variants.

That's one of the ones it works on (more specifically it spreads the damage kinda randomly; a shot that should hit the torso might hit the leg for example).

Or not at all. I fired a burst of AC rounds into a hopping Timber and watched them pass right threw it.

Yeah, there was a bunny-hopping timberwolf with all his armor stripped, and four mechs focus-firing at him couldn't do any additional damage once he started bunny-hopping. He killed three of them I think and the other ran away.

Another "konivingus" which are thrown into community as "BRILLIANT IDEA". No, thanx. Go back to your beloved CoD, BF, Warthunder, etc. JJ's should stay where they are.

Yep I played a lot of MWLL and there were poptarts but you took 3 large risks, 1 long exposure due too the burst nature, landing badly which caused a 2 second lock up of the legs and Heat build up. Plus as the video shows there were different types of jump jets for different types of mechs they did a amazing job. Jump jets were used in the game by pilots but when it came too brawling they were not used caused they did more harm then good I.E Heat build up and landing on bad terrain.

If we're not going to nerf things to fix them, then they could always just make every mech capable of bunnyhopping.

Of course, being able to bunnyhop doesn't make much sense for MWO mechs that can't step over a pebble.

Well, I got average ping 110-170 and never saw any Timber that can survive due bunnyhopping when I wub him till a death. None. That's why I think this so called "issue" are "reinvented". <_<

Congratulations on your uberpro skills. It's funny how other uberpro players think it's a problem and want it fixed.

But apparently they must also be salty ragequitanduninstall scrubs like me.

Then stop commenting with your useless troll quotes if you not interested in on the topic don't post simple as that the fact you came here too post this means you get kicks out of this if you not effected fine whoopty doo but for a large portion and yes ping does have its issues too play with as well its a known fact this issue has been going on for a very long time and with regards too certain battle mechs its a complex system that needs too be either reworked or fixed by all means these jump jets are coming from Hawken. And you do realize its effects different weapon systems wubs may be less prone too it then say a AC or a PPC.

The thing is that another "so smart nerf" would AFFECT WHOLE JJ's abillity to increase mechs mobility. The only who does troll is you and your brainless twittarded troll kids. Cause, first you whine to nerf something, than PGI does listen those idiots, and than we got Huge Forum Sh!tstorm about that PGI does something wrong again.

Before whine and start a new "Nerf This" agenda think about consequences. :excl:

You guys responting to this didnt realize what he did there.
Read it carefully, its a 9/10 troll.
He didnt see any TW that survived WHEN he wubed him TO DEATH. Didnt see any mosquito that survived getting smashed to death. You saw someone that survived getting beaten to death?
In fact, you wont see anything that survived getting [insert activity] to death because else, it wouldnt be to death.

No where does the poster state what happened to the timbers he couldnt wub to death and how they survived.

This issue has been going on forever and it has never been address no harm in coming up with ideas too fix it we are not forcing it we are merely looking at options too solve it the JJ was used too get from one point too another and too get too terrain where the mech could not reach on normal terms very rarely they were used in duels because of the major backlashes they would have in landing incorrectly plus its not acting as a "Jump" its a hover
