I know there was a topic for this a while back but it seems lost in the sea of topics so why not start 'er up again?

Im going to go with the Jenner, why? There are a few reasons:

-While the other 'mechs are nice, I find many of them to have major (in my opinion) flaws, the hunchback for example relies mainly on the large cannon on its shoulder, an easy target. Also, its left torso is empty as such most players with stock it with ammo and heatsinks, making it predictable and easy to cripple. The Catapault has a very large protruding cockpit making it susceptible to headshots, and the missle launchers are easy to take out, most players would stock ammo either in the arms itself or in the torso, also making it predictable. Finally, the Atlas, this one is a little less predictable then the others its sheer size makes its ammo placement unpredictable, and its frontal armor makes it hard incapacitate, but its strength is also its weakness, it's a large, slow target, and assuming its entire skull counts as the cockpit (and not just the left eye) it would be easy to headshot, if not, its massive legs would be easy to cripple to allow an easier time to attack the backside

-The Jenner is the lightest, and cheapest 'mech of the four, because of this its repair costs are bound to be lower, also, it isn't very reliant on ammo based weapons, which means it will net me the most out of the 25% C-bill booster. Though the Jenner is not without weakness, its thin armor makes it easy to take out, and its lack of weapons could give it a hard time taking down other 'mechs without assistance. Though I feel these shortcomings are remedied by its high speed and small frame

Which 'mech are you choosing?

Catapult.

It's one of the few Inner Sphere mechs I actually like, and this interpretation of it looks fantastic.

ALL THE MECHS!

I voted Atlas just to give it some love though. I will play whatever mech in order to fill whatever role I am tasked with.

glad you posted a new thread since the last one was just a bunch of legen ---- dairy bullcrap. here you have to choose the one you will most likely be piloting.

i choose the jenner for its speed and manuverability.

I like the mod potential for the Hunchback ... I typically swapped out the AC/20 for a /10, beef up the armor a bit and add a couple of med lasers (or an SRM rack depending on the mission).

I really prefer the look of the Catapult, but since the Founders mechs look to be specific variants, I went with the Hunchie - I prefer Ballistic and Beam slots to Missile and Beam slots.

Being a legendary founder, I have all 4, but I'll probably be playing the jenner. That will change as soon as they release the Pheonix Hawke for play. Has to be my favorite mech ever.

I'd also like to say that I wish there was a way to transfer the c-bill bunus to another mech later on. I don't want to be stuck in the same mech if I want to keep the bonus. Hear that Russ? ^_^

Atlas for me! ^_^ That was my first reaction when I saw the Mechs on offer (though if I could have a second I'd take the Catapult too).

Personally I would like the Hunchback with a Gauss Rifle or an AC10 on its shoulder.

Run in circle around and pelt them to death.

BTW how exactly effective are the UACs and ACs? I tried using them in MW Merc 4 and it seemed like water off the skin of a frog to me.

Catapult. As I understand it this will start me on the tech tree for that weight class of mech. Since financially I won't be getting the legendary founder's pack, for me being in the 70 ish ton weight class ought to give me the most options for loadout early in the game until I unlock other mechs.
Also because a Strider was not an option...^_^

Got them all, but will vote hunchback to kill all the fire support Catapults I'll have to face.
