We don't We should of already had the other LBs, Ultras, and other lv 2 tech considering we already have Pulse lasers, ERLL, UAC5s, and LB10s. But I digress
Not all tech 2 stuff was available in 3050, a bunch of it comes out in 3055/58+
Like ERML for the IS for starters....

Totally worth it.
Combined with BAP and TAG, I have insta-lock. The increased sensor range is nice too.
Otherwise...yeah...pretty much useless...

Time lines are off, Mechs are off, weapons are off, IS and Clan technology is off ----------- All in the name of balance.
So do go wining say this IS needs this or Clans need that.... sit up and pay attention.. this isn't the Mechwarrior game board with the game board rules... This is a new MWO based on convenient lore pickings at best.

all mechs in this game already function as if they have more advanced targeting computers than ever existed in battletech.
