I know, wishful thinking and everything, but come on, they're adding URBANMECH, FREAKING URBANMECH?
Urbanmech will probably end up ran with the largest possible XL engine and will be the new 360 degrees torso twisting meta or something, hahaha.
But, i really wish THIS thing would be added. Yeah, i know QUADS, who the **** cares about quads of all things.

It's the SCP, Scorpion (one of the reseen redesigns).

I actually don't think enough can be said for four legged mechs. There are a lot of them that would fit in the timeline and if you look at the mechanics of them they could be quite good. First off just due to their nature they would be able to move in any direction at the same speed, this means a highly highly mobile mech. In addition to that just with the meta of higher end play, everyone goes for the legs as a quick kill. This literally would DOUBLE your hit point pool in higher end which is pretty major. Basicaly it would be instituted that if you lose one leg, lose 15% speed. Two legs would be 40%. 3 legs would be 70%. And have speed thresholds perhaps? They would be unique and fun mechs.

The problem seems to always have been coding the damn things. I don't know much about programming myself, but I know the effort required to fit them into a MW game is supposed to be fairly daunting... Hell, we have trouble with TWO legs working on rough terrain XD

Would love a Uziel, and Penetrator, but they're out quite a few years yet.

@TF
Did they change the Road Runner from a micro mech in TW?
if not than the RR is a 15 ton clan Micro mech if I recall correctly.

I don't think it would be that hard. They have issues with some movement at times yes but realistically they already have a very slouched body type now with the crap. It shouldn't be to much harder to try to get something with that general feel with 4 moving legs instead of 2.

Quads should be somewhat easy to do. four legs no arms, unable to torso twist, move sideways with ease, and hard points would be fun to play around with.

Actually many are able to torso twist. Similar to a tank with a turret rotation. Not all of them had this option but many did. Might not be able to bring all your weapons to bear doing this but would bring some. I don't believe they will ever do sidestepping although if they did those mechs would get Very interesting VERY fast.

as far as I knew only mechs like the tarantula that actually had a 'turret' style upper torso could twist a little.

essentially I think a 4 legged mech would move a good deal like a typical first person shooter. Instead of torso twist you'd have strafing. not sure they would be very practical though ? what role would they serve in this kind of game would they be massive weapon platforms Or something light and super fast? Would they outdate/subtract from how any other mechs fit in?

I'm really missing the Devastator here. Reading about it in Loren L. Coleman's Flashpoint was what got me hooked on BT and MW in the first place!

I also wouldn't mind seeing the Cestus, Falconer, Cerberus, and Bushwhacker...

Now, for another (serious) post... I'd love to see:

Pirahna (Clan 20tons) 3051 Posted Image
(heck, it's even PGI's namesake, this sucker needs to be in the game)

Falconer (IS 75tons) 3053Posted Image

Crab (IS 50tons) 2719Posted Image
(we have the KGC, we need the CRB)

Penetrator (IS 75tons) 3053Posted Image
(was supposed to replace the CRB)

Viper (Clan 40tons) 2940 Posted Image
(I can understand why we got the Shadow Cat instead, but now the Clan Invasion Collection is incomplete... )

Tarantula (IS 25tons) 3054Posted Image
(PGI is never going to do quads... but I still think they should)

Kraken (IS 100tons) 2827Posted Image

More non-humanoid mechs!
