I tried checking on http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/equipment, but I didn't really get if the combination 20+10+5 lrm has ghost heat. Could you explain this to me?
Thank you :D

The mechlab throws me a warning, but emmm only says that firing more than 2 lrms simultaneously will result in a heat spike higher than normal.

So, this lrm combination follows the lrm ghost heat scale = 6-12-21.02?

Yes, it follows the largest GH multiplier, which in this case is the LRM20.

This is the smurfy link you want to look at.

All LRM launchers are Ghost Heat linked, and please note "For linked weapons the highest values apply", so you get Ghost Heat as if you fired three LRM-20s.

Far, far more actually.....
21.35 heat when the weapons themselves are a mere 12

15.02 heat, actually.

Mouse over the orange box, and it will say 3.02 extra heat. So you add the LRM20+10+5 heat, which is 6+4+2, while the GH chart reads 6+6+6+3.02.

Link ghost heat works a little bit differently.

Actually there is a way to macro out the ghost heat if your third and final launcher is a LRM5.

Always thought it went to highest weapon which is 20. So that would be 20x3 or 21.35 on the Smurfy table. I would actually have to test it but that is how it worked at least when tested last. I'll test again.

so LRM10x3 is same heat penalty as LRM10x2+LRM5

It does work that way, but the LRM20 3 launcher penalty is only 3.02 heat onto whichever base.

You add that onto the base heat of each launcher. Math in the post you quoted.

Did some testing and all is ok. Other interesting note is that LRM5x2 and 1 bigger launcher has no ghost heat penalty at least for IS which I didn't know.

And clan LRMs have a different GH penalty.......go figure as that is the number I was looking at (and yes it is hotter because clanners like to be in sauna mechs apparently).

So, it's not 6-12-21.02 but 6-10-12+3.02, right?

I.e. Add the individual heats plus the highest GH penalty?

The idea that this discussion is even taking place is stupid. Ghost heat rules are so ridiculous.
