Aloha All,
So, I've made it 2 weeks with MWO, even built a new gaming PC and dropped some coin so I could have a decent amount of cans to run with without grinding forever.
Which leads me into my next question, where is a good place to look for a Corp to join in order to take my game to the next level? Yeah, right now I suck, I'm averaging about 400 dmg per match with about 1 kill and 3 to 4 assists per match, but I'm willing to learn and definitely want to get into CW. I'm also looking for a Corp that fits my demo, IE those with a wife and 2 1/2 kids that love to aggro, which basically means I'm somewhere in between a casual and hardcore player. Drinking and driving Mechs? Now you're just pulling on my heart strings.

check out the recruitment sub-forums here on this very site.
http://mwomercs.com/...munity-warfare/
most major units have recruitment threads.
if you are a long time BT fan i suggest looking up some of the more venerable house units or Clans, if you are not familiar with the universe, a mercenary outfit might work better for you as they usually earn more c-bills to get your mech hangars filled.

Brownie points for not using "clan" to describe a guild/group of players.
While not being thrown out as the corporation to join, Zhizhu has a few players actively playing right this minute and they fit your MO, older men (and some women) with jobs, married and not, kids and none, etc. Not including myself we have one guy afk, 3 in MWO and two in World of Tanks at the moment. Saturday night I saw 11 in MWO which is quite a feet considering how many of us are playing various other games more actively.
If nothing else they can provide you an open door to come in, drop with and depart whenever you want.

firstly if you are averaging 400 damage with kills you are not doing bad, this seems to be about average.
before joining a group I strongly recommend checking a few units websites to try to find a good fit.
I am part of a unit that seems to fit your criteria, mostly people who are a bit older (most seem to be in there 30s or 40s with some who are 50+), many of whom are married with children, while we have competitive teams and do have some very good players most of us are more casual players.

There *is* a unit called Beer Warriors if you like drunk piloting. Not entirely sure on their demo, but they're a large and very active unit, seem very friendly, and drinking is definitely on the table.

This is not the place to get recruited or to recruit. This sub forum is only for new players seeking help with the game.
If you look for a unit you can either post a short profile of yourself in the hiring hall and fitting units will then send you private messages to recruit you.
Or you can look at the Mercenary, Inner Sphere and Clan unit recruitment sub forums for a fitting one yourself.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! Sorry took me so long to reply and say thanks, life tends to get in the way in the earlier part of the week, but my gaming ramps up on Wednesday and peaks on Sunday about 3 AM
I was merely looking for places to start looking for a Corp, as Egomane pointed out this isn't the place, and when I glanced over the forum directory the right place didn't jump out to me but I found it with all your feedback.
Now, time to go off, collect me lucky charms, and find a group to rock out with
