I suggested using Flamer quirks as a way of testing Flamer modifications that we could give feedback on to make the Flamer useful.
Acceleration/deceleration and similar is probably to make up for the fact it is alower than other Lights plus some Lights get this on both sides, I figure as a way to making Lights harder to hit and viable.

I would say yes, simply because the TC1 at leats will mean sacrificing a single DHS. and this single DHS benfit is smaller than the actual benefit of that one ton TC1. But this I would only say for energywepaon related Adders.
When you make a pure missile adder, you need to see if you may sacrifice it for more ammo.

it increases zoom, info gathering, sensor range and buffs projectile (ppc and non-lbx cannons) and beam weapon (lasers)
here is a terciel1976's pic from another thread

also you can read more about them here http://mwomercs.com/...ommand-console/

you have not distributed armor in the smurfey
and if yo want to keep the lrm's (which i wouldn't) then you ar better using another t of ammo, otherwise you only have 18 shots which is quite low.

I got suggested the build elsewhere on the forum but I find I overheat far to much for my liking and my damage isn't that good either. I think it may be down to my gameplay tho.
Edit: If I don't use the targeting computer I can add more ammo, that's what the original build I got had.

This Firestarter I ran into last night is probably used to Adders being easy prey, but no more:

I would downgrade the headarmor to 10 and fill the legs, headshots are superrare, whil legshots are quite often.

That's how I run all of my Adders to get to an "even number" of pod space--max armor but remove 8 from head.

but I need to admit, I had a BAP instead a tc1 in that build, because the quirks from the last time made me change my 6srm adder into this prime version, and for soem rason i forgot to switch the bap into the tc1.
makes me actually wonder if that had some positive sideeffects with probably more influence than I thought

do you by any chance have that battle recorded and can upload it on youtube? :3
my attempts to sniper with kit foxes in sfw failed so hard that i had to make them into lrm-40 rocket foxes, it would be nice to watch how it should be done... especially when you don't even have jump jets

sry, I do not have any. But I consider the kfx as not so good, because you have your hardpoints in your arms, which means rather much mech to expose. And this increases the chances to get hit. I can robably make a video when I play again. But I didn't had CW in planning currently, because the last Event was enough CW for a while xD.
The idea is top pop out fire and retreat as quick as possible. Try avoid getting shot. I opo out and back sometimes without shooting, It's then just to localise the location of other mechs, but you may not have time for aiming at them. Then with the next pop out, preaim at the position or the most likely position, so that you only have to correct a low amount of your aim. because aimtime is expose time and that can make you get a hit.In a low Hp mech, this does hurt quite a lot, especially when you have thunderbolts shooting at you.
Without JJ's you need a lot mapknwledge and experience to know where most battles happen, and where you have a save location for these maneuvers without getting ambushed too easily. And you need some feeling for the opponents patience. Am I spottet? how long will he wait for me to pop out, because waiting to find the moment the opponent gave up or is distracted is then when you should appear again.
