I think I'll load up on Timbers and Crows before I worry about buying Gargs... I might even get my Adders...

Fun mechs. Just don't play them as Assaults....more like Heavy or Mediums ;)

They can put out a ton of damage, but can't take as much. But then they are really fast and maneuverable for an Assault. Similar to a Victor, but can do more damage.

The cockpit is pretty different too. Kinda retro steampunkish.

Until it can add/remove Endo/Ferro, its just another dead clan mech.

Also jump jets need to be better since they can't be taken off, same deal as Summoner.

Unless you have a morbid curiosity... avoid the Gargoyle. You could like it, but that would require quite a bit of love and insanity.

I managed to remove all jump jets of my Gargle...

Anyway. If you have a crap ton of money and no use for it (modules, better mechs etc) go get this piece of ****. It might be better when the extra variant is released next month, more energy hardpoints.

Oh, heh I thought it had jets, seems I was mistaken! I was really thinking it was exactly like Executioner but smaller, not realizing minus jets.

So in this case part of the issue with the Gargle I guess is limited tonnage space due to massive engine and Ferro but no Endo.

Atlas long gone cousin. Guess it has its uses, in the right hands.

Its not a horrible mech, its just not the tip of the spear mech like an Atlas or a Direwolf. If you're driving one, hang out with the other assaults and be part of the push. Just never be -the push-. I run the D variant with 8 ER Medium Lasers and have been having decent success with it. It plays more like a heavy.

It's not a bad mech, just different.

It's all in how ya play it.

At least all of it's weapons aren't in the arms. :)

Some mechs are not designed to be played as their weight classes, like the Cicada and UrbanMech.
This is the case for the Gargoyle. Play it like a heavy and you will be fine. ;)

(Still, I think it deserved better quirks)

Put 6 MPL on it and fill it with heat sinks, then only select conquest games. You will be MVP almost every match ..

Oh god, dont buy this mech. Or do you want same speed as a slow heavy, close to no free tonage, fewer weapons then a heavy... but on the plus-side it weights more.... oh wait....

Crappy mech is not worth even 1Mio c-bills. Especially not with such useless quirks.

Or you could choose a TW and be even better....

Gargoyle looks and feels like the red headed step sister no body wants or really even cares about
PGI acknowledges the movement type is wrong and is "working on it" Grasshopper has same issue, they fix it the next day.
Wave 3 Clan pack gets all the camos released and Gargoyle is left out.
Gargoyle as an assault mech is a joke. I would always. always! choose my timber wolf over this poor little ugly guy.

I have them all mastered and best builds you can do with them. While they are fun to play every blue moon, they are pretty ****** mechs overall.
