user driven content? i know we don't have the modding base like skyrim does, but a texture package should be possible even without PGI.

Lordred nudged me about this a couple days ago, and I did some asking around today to see where we might stand on this.
Texture normalization and a 4K pack release are not something that the art department has in production at the moment. Unfortunately, the resources and time available right now aren't going to provide us with the opportunity to work on this in the near future.

I look forward to when they DO make it a priority.

I did not want to sound snooty, but I'm going to go ahead and sound snooty for a moment.
I've only spent MC on camo patterns that happen to feature a 2k RGB. Which means few of my mechs have a camo pattern. If all of the camo patterns looked good, I would be vain enough to buy em

Kinda like what Russ did with the Urbie, put it up and see if the community will buy it.
I would.

Thanks for checking, and thanks to Lordred for being motivated enough to bring this up.

If it was at all reasonably priced I am in.

I think pgi's artists are being overworked, it must be a huge amount of work to uv map all these mechs, with all the different possible geometry changes on each varient (weapons mounts etc), and all the different camos. Hire more perhaps? I'de be interested to know how many people they have on this.

My observations that Hotrod (on Pheonix Mechs) looks worse than on my buddies Victor make sense.
Also makes sense now how a few chassis I just can't find a skin I enjoy...
