Possible reasoning for Clan Quirks
Why some are Good and others seem Bad,

=Defense Quirks being Good=
Acceleration / Deceleration / Twist-Angle / Structure / Ect.

=Weapon Quirks being Lack-Luster=
Weapon Duration / Weapon Heat / Weapon Velocity / Ect.

@russ_bullock love the ClanDefensiveQuirks(Accelerate/Decelerate/Twist/Structure) GoodJob! the WeaponsQuirks though are kinda lack luster...

Andrew Pappas@AndiNagasia 29m29 minutes ago
@russ_bullock ...i think i know what your doing seeing how the DefensiveQuirks workout first before testingout the WeaponQuirks? is that it?

Russ Bullock@russ_bullock 16m16 minutes ago
@AndiNagasia sure - carefully moving forward

it could be that Russ Just wants to see how the Defensive Quirks fair,
seeing how they take before adding in larger weapon Quirks,

this would make all the Values(1%to4%) most likely place holders,
its very possible we will see theses Values double or even triple in the future,

Thoughts? Comments? Concerns?
Thanks

On a mech that has a maximum amount of four hardpoints....it kinda needs weapon quirks.

Cooling, at the very least, after all those blanket nerfs.

I think moderate and slow is a good way to progress, but what some of the mechs got was not moderate.

They were tiny and inconsequential.

When a mech is so bad, that it's name is literally a joke like "The Badder", and it's in the game for something like 9 months - they should have been able to come up with much, much more significant quirks for this mech.

The fact is, that the team seems to really have no clue about the hard details of this game, they understand their data but they don't understand the intangibles.

They don't remember, or ignore, small details like an Adder not having 10x 2.0 DHS in its engine.

I often get into arguments with people on these forums, because while I recognize a good many clan mechs are clearly not top tier and not OP at all - I also feel many of them (through the raw strength of clan tech) are not that far from being very solid mechs to play and are on par or close to it with a huge number of already well-quirked IS mechs.

The Adder and Ice Ferret are not those mechs, they need MAJOR help, and they didn't get it after all this waiting.

Other mechs like the Summoner got quirks that are literally a joke. Its not just the values, its the TYPE of quirks they got.

WTF is anyone supposed to do with Machine gun range quirks on a 70T heavy mech?

I'm glad nothing ended up ROFLPOCALYPSE strong, but on the other hand people have a right to be pissed after waiting so long - and that goes for the handful of IS mechs that really didn't get anything amazing either (HGN movement stuff is decent though, but the JJs are still the lynchpin).

When they buff a TDR its 50% when they buff an Adder its no energy buff...

-2.5% damage from overheating? On an IFR...?

PUMA should have had an overall heat generation buff of 10-15% stock ERPPC puma is stupid hot and with spread dmg its very ineffective. I would have liked to see a 10% speed increase too offset the 43+ kph difference vs IS

Its typical PGI thinking not to do what is needed. Seems Canadians think if they do what is right people will get bored but instead they keep us guessing and hoping they will grow a brain and fix the game.

Some common sense Puma runs HOT so lets shorten the cool down so it can overheat faster **rolls eyes**

Remember how they buffed the TDR9S and it was hilariously OP compared to most other mechs? And every clanner was complaining about it constantly cause only the TBR is allowed to be OP? Maybe they're just trying to avoid that again....

Maybe so...but this is still otherworldly pathetic...especially that cooldown "buff" on the Adder Prime (almost as bad as that 5% speed buff thing on the Highlanders)...I was kinda hoping to bring it out for a change of pace from my assaults, but I don't think I will...

Defensive quirks...
Come on... It seems like that someone found a justification with a fancy name and suddenly its "defensive quirks"

Defensive quirks on an adder means more damage and score for the enemy... while it is waiting to cool down.

Adder's main role is bringing heavy weaponry (like ERPPC) on a maneuverable platform with low speed (for a light) and low armor. Also it has 8 truedubs in a locked engine so that is a permanent nerf... To rectify this, a heat gen buff would be the ideal thing that it can get. Instead it receives ERPPC cool down... something to make it even hotter. a big fail.

The larger fail is the quirks for IFR-prime CT compared to its more competent cousins.

There is nothing more obvious than this... and yet PGI manages to miss it completely... in "small doses"... and now "defensive quirks"
