I guess it'll never happen because it's such a great idea!

Apparently not possible with the cry-engine, without rendering the game a second time, resulting in drastically reduced performance.
Requested many many times, not included for technical reasons.

But, yeah. At the very least a 360 degree threat bar at the top would be welcome.

They ran on a different game engine.

Which would be even more taxing on everyones computers. We are not talking about 2 or 3 FPS. we are talking about cutting it in half (or even less with the 360° bar).
Learn to deal with the blind spot and look behind you from time to time. It's not that hard*.
*I need to admit that I am kinda cheating here with my triple screen setup. I only need to torso twist in most mechs, to have a look behind me.

It will have to be a toggle on/off screen however duew to technical reasons...
But so What!!! We need this now!

how about MW 3 - 4. they had the ability to see behind them which I used a lot in mw 4 mercs when running away after a scouting mission so I knew if I was still being followed.
it is a must have for this game.

Once again... different game engine. The rear view in those didn't have as much of an impact as it woudl have here. You can't compare them.

Please excuse me if I disagree.
It's a comfort function, and nothing more, for those without awareness of the terrain and their teammates possible movement. Plan ahead and you don't need it. It would even take away from the game, as it would become much harder to be a sneaky light mech, when everyone can suddenly see them coming up on their rear.

Hint acknowledged. But that's the way I am. I don't sugarcoat my arguments. My posts are almost never meant to attack someone personally. Only the idea as such. If they are personal, I'll make it very clear (and probably post them in K-town).
If I should have hurt someone with my posts unintentionally I am deeply sorry and apologize!

Fair enough, E, I hear you loud and clear on that one. And frankly, being that direct and to the point has its advantages, too.
Peace out.

or am I wrong about the amount of resources vs. 3rd person view?
