So I've been busy here lately and havent been able to play much but was delighted to see the CTF texture passover had been done.

One complaint though, why does the CTF-4x have that laser hardpointed left arm? This mech would look so much better if you just gave it a fliped copy of the right arm so that the model really represents the chasis.

Because it's not an Omni-mech? So you can't interchange other body parts from other variants onto the same places on a chassis. That might be the logic behind it. But I do agree with you though, it does look ugly by not being symmetric. Or just by not having a fist on the left arm. Either way the devs just have some more geometry patch fixes to put their minds to. Until then just run macros and ac2s and it'll look better without us noticing.

The Cataphract is famous for being a 'frankenmech' cobbled together out of whatever parts the Capellan Confederation had laying around in bulk. Combining parts from the Marauder, Phoenix Hawk, and Shadowhawk. So, it's supposed to look a bit odd, imo.
