Just wondering if the female of the species is interested in the release of this game?

Interestingly, the forum nuked the quite legitimate term for our reproductive variance.

My wife is an avid video gamer. Actually I can't say avid, because the only games she will play are Battlefield and Call of Duty. She makes fun of me for playing anything single player and calls me a dork. She won't touch PC gaming, so I doubt she'll ever play MWO.

My girl will watch me play but I can't get her interested enough to play the game. Maybe that's the next poll topic.

I'd be super willing to put together a machine for her to play if she wanted, but no dice......

Is this a stealth 'I'm looking for a date' thread? From what I've seen there is a few female gamers here. There we're some awesome female pilots back in MW4. In general, gaming and the culture around it has been adopted by more and more women over the years. I don't see what the big deal is or why people 'need to know' how many women are playing.

My girlfriend plays some games with me, others she's not too fond of. I doubt she'll ever get into MechWarrior.

Its not a dream....a curiosity maybe.

As I understand it, the female of the species would make a superior mech pilot with their multitasking and spacial perception abilities.

But besides that, with 100 Tons bearing down on you, you're not going to have time to "check the junk."

If not, it will soon turn into one.

Too funny, nope, it's a serious question. I can't honestly say that I've ever been up against a female pilot in MW4.

How would one ask the question so it is taken seriously?

I once had the pleasure of meeting one such female pilot. She had exceptional individual skill, certainly up there with the best of them. She was a crappy team player though. There was a few women MW4 players I knew of, mostly indirectly. There was even an all female MW4 unit. Not sure where they played or if they played league.

The correct term is "gender" anyways. ;)

My girlfriend played MW4 in NBT:HC. She has an affinity for MRM Bushies and Stormcrows and was quite good in them. In the same unit, the daughter of one of the guys played as well, and even served as a DC on occasion. The Diamond Sharks in that same league had a husband/wife team that played. The wife was one of the best scouts I had ever had the pleasure of playing with. Calm under duress, sneaky, and relayed pertinent information very well. These are the only women that I knew of in that league, and they were a definite minority, but they were there.

I have a friend who plays the Sims only.

Not much else.

Oh, I also know some girls who play a space sim on an RP server. And they are girls...no guy can speak like they do :s

I think you might be over-thinking this just a little bit.

I know I'm going to catch ALOT of flack for what I'm about to say but it might get a chuckle or two.

The female of the species does not need a mech on the battlefield if she is PMS'ing. She is capable of melting armor with a glare. Using a sonic screech to foul target locks. Capable of deflecting lasers like a mirror, Uses a PPC bolt for tooth paste. And that is BEFORE she gets mad. Let her get mad and within melee range she will make a tear apart an Atlas without breaking a nail. (And if she breaks a nail you might as will sell your mechs as cheap salvage.)

All joking aside I hope there are a few fems playing.

this made me laugh ;)

There are plenty of female players most of witch I am sure wont come near this thread for the obvious reason of if they do they will be swarmed with PMs from ***** teenage boys that think a female playing this game is the hottest thing they ever heard of.
