...but I also think it's insincere to post a 1000 damage game screenshot and pretend like that's an average game in a WHK.

Well, it's a good thing I never did that, now isn't it? If you think I did do that than that is totally on you and has all of Jack and s*** to do with me.

In my experience this VERY much depends on one's personal play style (e.g. too offensive) and what enemies one faces (e.g. do they explicitely aim at WHK arms to disarm it). But it hardly has to do anything with the chassis being bad per se.

When I first got the WHK, I made a few games, lost the arms immediately and died pretty quickly.
Bad mech?
Not at all. I just played bad and encountered enemies who knew what too to against it.

Very frustrated, I put it aside and contiued playing TBR.
Until I was SO frustrated about its tiny low arms not giving any protection to the torso and therefore dying so much quicker.

I switched to WHK again (with more practice, more skill, better aim) and all of a sudden:
Wins, wins everywhere. Often multiple kills, score regularily above 50 and not too rarely above 100.
Compared to the TBR I'm very glad that I have some arms that absord damage. Even if all my weapons are in them.

The point is: the better you play (tactics and aim), the more pressure you put on your enemies and that makes a whole lot of your defense. Not the plain armor points, but pressure.

Nowadays I hardly lose even one arm except if I made a terrible tactical mistake or the match is going south anyway.
For me, the WHK has a felt durability at least double to that of the TBR.

So stop whining, disable armlock and practice aiming :)

I got that your armor goes down quickly.
So did mine in the beginning.
Somehow I doubt you really read/understood the stuff you quoted.

Obviously. There is much more armor on a king crab.

Unfortunately, it sounds like the issues are with your playstyle, build style, and those things will carry with you to the next account. This is a game that takes time to become good at and you only started playing a month or so ago. The learning curve here is steep for new players and regardless of which account you play or which mech you play it in, this is just the kind of game where you have to pay your painful dues.
