Return it to Blue and give it more range. Clans stay the same.

Thank You

Man, these days you gotta call it "petition" or "plea" at least if you want something.

No?

The old blue-tone heat mode was irritating to look at, and you had to have it on pretty much all the time since the long effective range made it super-sniper-vision.

Also, it was heat vision, not night vision.

Also also, if anyone were to get blue heat vision, it'd be the Clans, obviously. Just look at their HUDs.

PS - Don't give the Clans blue heat vision, either. It's fine how it is now.

PPS - If you want better vision, ask PGI to remove the filters on most of the maps. They make everything blend into one sort of mushy color (green on Bog, orange-ish on Caldera, gray on Forest Colony, etc.). Removing the filters would help a lot with visibility while also making your paint and pattern choices meaningful.

The blue-orange/Predator vision was heat vision, not night vision. It was kinda' broken-good. Should not get changed back.

As for the current pea-soup night vision, it's pretty close to looking like modern night vision. And just as annoying. I've had to train with the stuff (never actually used it under deployment conditions), and the mono-green was a royal PITA. (That and the NODs I was trained with were single-eye pieces, so depth perception was a nasty issue.)

Clans needs to use Enhanced Imaging! grants the blue heat vision and it switches to night Vision and the white heat vision in Seizurific pulses and if you use it for extended uses the cockpit gets heated up and takes some minor damage. win/win

MWO has a green filter with light sources coded to bright. That's not what **** looks like under nvgs lol. The PVS-7D's wouldn't be as clear as MWO, and PVS-14's would have massive depth perception issues/not be as clear. PVS-15's (still really, really old technology) would still be garbage. I don't even know of regular line units using 15's, maybe sparingly at the leadership levels. Lots of 14's and 7d's.

We used 23's and those are really the first instance of NVG's looking anything as clear as MWO. I do think the lack of range is BS though, same goes for thermal. I'm pretty sure I've shot weapons in 20xx under both of those optics systems so I would hope that 1000 years later we could do a bit better.

The ones I trained on looked grainy, but MWO's nightvision looks bad enough (in its own way) to remind me of the NODs I used (PVS-14).

use monitor settings (hopefully stored presets). Feels like cheating on many maps. Dark map up the brightness dull the gamma. Light map darken and sharpen etc

I miss the Blue Man vision. I liked it cause it made it easier to see the enemy. I know it allowed me to be even more accurate and accept that some folks did not like it.

I'd definitely love to see a bigger difference between IS / Clan heat vision and night vision.

I also think they should be using different textures for the Clan cockpits. Some of them feel pretty similar to IS cockpits, when I would expect them to be a bit... cleaner and shinier. Or at least just have a different feel.

I liked the blue predator vision more. Not because of more range, that could be shortened even more but for the info. You could see hot mechs and cold mechs. You knew which mech is gonna overheat and which mech can likely fire again soon.

I really miss this detail, because it gave some depth to combat. Maybe this could be an alternative heat mode but with really short range like 200m or so.

I dislike playing with green screens this looks like 1984 monochrome monitor rubbish I did not buy a 60 inch hd display for this...

River city night would be better if the hud could be stripped down by several levels of information.
Most of what blinds you is hud glare.

For night ops id want the option to strip the whole weapon groups panel off the hud and dim the mini map.
