Ah, someone moved it to the suggestion subforums. Nice.
Anyway, ontopic:
I already made my point in the other thread about the canon way those weapons are handled, but i have to admit that even the Devs stray from canon description when handling ACs in this game, as many AC20s are described as firing a burst of 3 to 10 high calibre shells and all we ever see in MW:O are single-shot weapons that fire like regular field-guns.
This of course is probably a balancing decision, to make AC/20s a single entity like they are in the TT rules instead of having them work differently depending on model like we see in the fluff and technical descriptions. But this would actually realy open the possibility to stick to one, certain make and model of each AC, selected by fitting with the mechanics used in MW:O.
This might be against canon, but it's also against canon that all AC/20 fire a single shell, no metter if they are actually a gatling designs like the "Luxor Devestator 20" or fast firing high calibre guns that fire 10 shells per round (so one each second) like the 150mm Crusher Superheavy Cannon.
Edit:
I know, agreeing with Future Perfect might make me lose the little respect some people may have for my opinions and ideas. But sticking to one specific make/model of AC, fitting the ingame-mechanics used in MW:O would fix the problem with ACs not behaving like they should in MW:O and allow to put some nice mm, inch or ли́ния number behind (or in front) of the guns used.
This would of course void canon-builds, as they'd use the 'wrong' AC, but they seem to be doing that already anyway, so no big loss.
