Hello community and devs,
Every time I attempt to patch the game, the launcher will just crash, causing me to run the repair tool...
Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I'm getting a little tired of having to run the repair tool twice a week just to play the game for an hour.
Is there a work around or something I can do to fix this?
Thanks

Dito - MWO only runs if i set the "- nopatch" Parameter in the Launcher Icon Right Click Window.
Launcher otherwise simply hangs and RepairTool hangs also.
PS: Atm it works again without "- nopatch".

Boy, I tell ya... I sure am getting tired of having to RELOAD this game. I have been playing pretty much from it's first infant beta stage. I have had to reload this game more in the past few weeks then I have in the past few years. Yes I said years. Not sure what is going on guys but I hope we can get this resolved quickly.

This happens to me as well since March 17th Patch.
Repair Tool is not necessary, in my case.
Confirmed working solution for me: Right click and force Run As Administrator.

We have a fix for this currently in testing, and assuming all goes well it will be released with our next patch. In the meantime, I can explain the problem and pose some suggestions. The problem is that the patcher doesn't have permission to write to the temp directory when run as a base user. So there's two things you can do (besides forcing it to run as admin). First is to find the temp directory and grant write permissions to the base user. Since this is slightly more technical, I would instead recommend another way - just set the temp directory (launch the patcher, click the gear icon next to the close/minimize buttons on the top right) to a directory that isn't in a specialized location. The absolute easiest thing to do is just click the "Use Default" button, which will create the temp directory alongside the game directory.
Hope this helps and sorry for the troubles.

How about some information on the Crash To Desktop there are many threads about that have yet to see any sort of official comment? Don't say to also run the game as Admin as that is all I do and most days I am lucky to be able to get out of the Mech lab without a crash

Eldamar the only way we can help users with crashes is if they send in a ticket with the crash dump. A lot of crashes/disconnects users are reporting we have not been able to reproduce in house, so we need as much information from users to track down the issue.

Tickets been sent and never got a reply back on any of them so I stopped at one point I was sending 4 to 6 emails a night
