[Night Thastus]

Hey guys!

I've decided to broaden my mech types, and I'd like to do something that boats only, or almost only PPCs. Not ER-PPCs, since they generate quite a bit of heat. I don't mind modifying my playing style to deal with the 90m minumum range.

If you know a mech that has good quirks, good hardpoints, or good general tonnage to do so (even if not in the heavy catergory) please, let me know.

Money is not an object for this mech. Don't care how expensive it is.

Stalker 4N. May need engine downgrade for 6x PPCs though.

Probably a Thunderbolt-5SS with no endo and an XL + 3x PPC + 4x slas/splas. My recommendation is not to boat PPCs quite frankly.

Maybe a Quickdraw with 300XL 18 DHS. I used to run that during the PPC meta.

2x PPCs + AC-10 makes for a better pinpoint 30 point alpha IMHO. Just run a Cataphract.

I run a quad ppc Awesome 8q and consistently have good results. the quirks synergize really well

Grasshopper 5N has PPC heat quirk -10%, -10% energy heat, 12.5% energy cool down, and can fit a PPC high on the right torso to hillhump.

Mine runs pretty cool... Slots end up being the controlling factor.

The BJ-3 is a great PPC boat. 2 PPCs and 2 MLs runs incredibly cool without any skills, and I don't have mine setup quite right yet (XL235 should help it out, currently running a standard 200).

Grasshopper 5H does PPCs pretty well.

Misery does them pretty well too (though so do all stalkers).

AWS-8Q

With a combined 25% heat reduction, 25% cool down reduction a speed bump on them from quirks, the 8Q is a beast for PPC spam... hit boxes leave something to be desired, but I like mine enough to keep it in my CW deck.

AWS 8Q with a pair of PPCs in the arm and the torsos and head full of MPLs. It's a true murder bot. Of course, you could replace all that with quad torso PPCs, just put each torso pair on a different trigger for proper heat management. You'll be helpless up close, and less responsive against agile targets, but your longer ranged punch will be a good bit higher.

Vindicator has some decent Quirks VND-1AA and VND-1R with 40% boost to PPC Velocity pretty nasty.

Played with PPC boats alot in past and afer rolling the Awesome 9M and others found not worth going past 2 PPC/ERPPC just too hot and too much tonnage. Better off switching then to ML for close in love way more effective.
