Dear Mechwarriors,

I am the proud recipient of a CTF-0X gifted to me by Mechwarroir Kristian in his most recent give away. This has made me very happy and I wish to return the favor to the community. So I am feeling a bit generous today and would like to offer a free Resistance II Ale-Carte pack of your chosing to a worthy recipient.

So here is the deal. I am a huge fan of the underdogs in this game. I like seeing mechs that don't get used often or have the stigma of being "bad" mechs crushing enemies under foot. I am also a huge fan of mixed load out mechs and load outs that are as far from "meta" as they can be.

So over the weekend, I would like to see players get out mechs in there hangers that have been given the name "bads" and show me what you can do. I don't expect 1000+ damage matches but I do expect you to have fun with them. Post video of you doing your worst with these mechs or if you can't record, a screen shot of the damage/score you did with a picture of the load out from your mech lab. (No smurfy links, this could be anyone's load out.) Honor code here as well. creating a load out, taking a picture then switching the loadout back is scuzzy.

Quickdraw
Vindicator
Hunchback 4SP and 4H only
Trebuche
Dragon (Anything but the 1N)
Catapult (6 LRM 5's would be considered meta to me as well as Dual gauss K2)
Commando (No Death's Knell)
Kintaro
Summoner
Adder
Urban Mech

These are just the mechs I rarely see on the battlefield. So if you feel there should be a mech included on the list. Let me know via PM and I will consider adding it.

The contest ends on Monday. I will then review all the submissions and make my decision next week. Again: I DON'T CARE ABOUT KILLS. Just show me that you had some fun with these mechs over the weekend or, (via screen shot) that you can still do a decent amount of damage or get a fair amount of experience/cbills while supporting the team.

Also, I'm new at this giving stuff away thing. If I'm asking too much of players let me know. If I'm stepping outside the player code of conduct or any rules that PGI might have against this kind of thing please send me a PM.

Lynx, Kfx, and Locust are still seen enough in my book to be bottom of the middle class in popularity (capability is a whole 'nother story).

Yeah, they have to be recent.

On a side note:


I wouldn't know if the screen shots or videos are recent or not. I'm giving players the benifit of the doubt assuming that they are honest people. This is all an honor code system. Cheaters are out there. However, I don't have the resources to know who is or isn't cheating. If you post an old screen shot or video, win the contest and claim the prize... Then I hope that person can live with themelves... It must suck having no soul.

MWO community is claimed by many to be extremely toxic, but you and others who do these things are the proof that it is anything BUT, thank you!

Questions:
Is a Catapult C1 with 3 LPLs (a build i've had since Closed Beta, loved it since) considered "meta" and not eligible?
Also, 2 PPCs and 2 Flamers (another build i like, got a few flamer kills with it )?

Hmmmm... I see the Awesome quite a bit. It has rediculous PPC quirks. I will include it but you would have to wow me with some funky load out to win with it.

All I got is my Commando 2D and my Champion Victor. I'll ride them this coming weekend. I MAY do ok in them. Should I post my WORST score? Cause with my ManMando, I can certainly do 100 damage!!! With my Victor, I'm not sure...

Alright, fair enough, but God help you if I don't win and I had fun, while supporting my team, for nothing!
